Sky Group has announced its performance for the first six months of 2023, generating revenue of 1.762 billion baht, a robust growth of 39%, with a net profit of 203 million baht, up 26%. This growth reflects a significant increase in revenue from airport-related projects, indicating a recovery in tourism. The company is confident that in the second half of the year, its Aviation Tech and Airport Services businesses will soar, benefiting from the high season, with expectations of tourist arrivals reaching 27 million. The company is accelerating plans to expand its Tech Ecosystem business and invest in high-potential ventures to strengthen its position continuously.

Mr. Sitthidet Mailap, CEO of Sky ICT Public Company Limited (Sky Group), revealed that in Q2/2023 (April-June), the company achieved total revenue of 942 million baht, resulting in a total revenue of 1.762 billion baht for the first half of 2023 (January-June), marking a 39% growth compared to the same period last year (YoY). The net profit for the six-month period was 203 million baht, an increase of approximately 26% from the previous year.

In the first six months of 2023, the company experienced significant growth in revenue and net profit due to the recovery of the tourism industry and the continuous increase in international tourist arrivals to Thailand. This has led to growth in revenue from airport-related projects, such as the Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) and the Advanced Passenger Processing System (APPS).

As of the end of Q2/2023, the company has a backlog of approximately 22.7 billion baht, which is expected to be recognized gradually within this year, amounting to about 2 billion baht.

Mr. Sitthidet further stated that according to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in the first six months of this year, 12.87 million international tourists visited Thailand, an increase of more than five times compared to the same period last year. It is projected that the total number of international tourists for the entire year will be around 27.39 million, an increase of 14 million in the second half of the year. Sky Group believes that the situation in the second half of 2023, which is the high season for Thai tourism, will see growth in its Aviation Tech and Airport Services businesses in line with the overall tourism industry.

At the same time, Sky Group continues to seek opportunities to expand its business in Aviation Tech and the Tech Ecosystem, where the company has expertise, such as smart security technology and digital platforms, to ensure continuous strength and stability. Additionally, the company has invested in subsidiaries and other potential companies, which will undoubtedly contribute to its growth in the second half of the year.
