Mr. Satit Sudbanthad, CEO of Diamond Products Public Company Limited (DRT), a manufacturer and distributor of roofing systems, synthetic wood, fiber cement boards, decorative wall boards, lightweight bricks, SPC-FC stair wood, ready-made coffee shops (DIAMOND Cafe), and installation services for roofing structures and tiles under the ‘Diamond’ trademark, revealed that in Q2/2023 (April-June), the company achieved total revenue of 1,519.43 million baht, an increase of 10.78% compared to the same period last year, surpassing set targets, with a net profit of 166.87 million baht. This success stems from DRT's competitive capabilities, the strength of its product brand, and the diversity of products under the ‘Diamond’ brand, as well as a distribution network that effectively meets customer needs, including retail dealers, modern construction material retailers, real estate project customers, and exports to international markets.
At the same time, more efficient production management and maintaining an average machine operation rate of 80-90% have improved the management of raw material cost risks. Consequently, the gross profit margin in Q2 increased to 25.16%, up from 24.70% in the first quarter of this year, reinforcing DRT's strong business operation potential to overcome challenges and risks. This has resulted in an overall performance in the first half of the year (January-June) with total revenue of 3,071.90 million baht, an increase of 11.55% compared to the same period last year, and a net profit of 344.22 million baht.
