The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) has partnered with the Government Savings Bank to sign a cooperation agreement aimed at promoting and supporting the business capabilities of FTI members nationwide. This includes exclusive rights for loans or services, special fees or interest rates from the Government Savings Bank for FTI members, as well as expedited loan consideration processes, and activities to enhance capabilities and share knowledge with SMEs and startups.

Mr. Apichit Prasoprat, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) stated that this collaboration aligns with the FTI's ONE FTI policy, which aims to elevate SMEs to become Smart SMEs, enabling FTI members across 45 industrial groups nationwide to access more funding sources.

The initiative will select 10 pilot provinces or industrial groups to gather needs for developing loan services tailored to each province or industrial group, with a goal of supporting 2,000 entrepreneurs nationwide.

Mr. Weerachai Amornthongkul, Deputy Director of the Government Savings Bank for Business and Public Sector Clients mentioned that since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the bank has implemented various measures to assist the public, including entrepreneurs, in accessing funding sources to revive their businesses. To date, the bank has supported society through 50 projects, helping 16 million people and providing loans to 7.3 million individuals. For SMEs, liquidity support has exceeded 250 billion baht, enabling access to funding through the "Mii Tee Mii Ngern" project amounting to 21.3 billion baht, and supporting sustainable businesses with over 8 billion baht.

Additionally, the bank offers loans for members of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), such as the GSB Smooth Biz loan, GSB for BCG Economy loan project, GSB for Re-Open hotel business loan project, and Phase 2 hotel supply chain loans.
