Today, MQDC (Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited), the developer of 'The Forestias' city project spanning 398 rai, announced plans to create a Themed Destination of Happiness within The Forestias, named 'HappyTat'. This will be the first destination to seamlessly connect real-world experiences with the virtual world, covering a vast area for people to engage with a new dimension of experiences in The Forestias.

Ms. Orada Koedhong, President of Storied Place, MQDC stated, “We are creating a new phenomenon with HappyTat, elevating the concept of a destination to the next level. HappyTat will be a place where people want to return repeatedly, as each visit will offer new experiences through year-round indoor and outdoor activities catering to diverse lifestyles. In the future, many dimensions of HappyTat will integrate with the virtual world, aiming to excite and bring joy to everyone who visits, evoking the same feeling as the first time, regardless of the activities they engage in, while also providing a warm, comforting, and familiar atmosphere.”

“That’s why we call this place HappyTat, a blend of the words Habitat and Happiness,” Ms. Orada explained. The nearly 60 rai of HappyTat will include forest areas at the heart of The Forestias, various gardens, parade walkways, shops, food and beverage outlets, and hundreds of service shops, learning centers, entertainment venues, cultural and social activity spaces, markets, and a science museum, along with office spaces. HappyTat will consist of three buildings with a total usable area of approximately 211,000 square meters. Ms. Orada mentioned that MQDC is collaborating with the world’s leading experts in destination development and entertainment to create the master plan for HappyTat.

“The master plan for HappyTat will guide visitors from the main road into The Forestias, transitioning from an urban landscape and lifestyle to the tranquility of nature within a 30 rai forest. This journey enriches life, moving from the 'bustling city' to 'extraordinary nature.'”

Ms. Orada stated that the transition from urban life into the heart of the forest will feature numerous wonderful experiences along the way. Visitors can choose to enjoy a continuous journey from start to finish or take their time to stop and enjoy various points along the route. They can enter and exit at any point. Additionally, in the future, diverse virtual experiences will enhance the journey, making it not only fun but also educational, while creating business opportunities for those involved in crafting HappyTat to reach new customer segments with a wider range of products and services.” One of the most important roles of HappyTat is to serve as a vibrant hub within The Forestias, connecting the happiness of all generations, including residents from various housing projects within The Forestias and visitors from outside. There will be a 4,000 square meter activity space designated as a theater or event space for residents and cultural groups, aiming to foster community bonds and transform ordinary places into lively communities.

“We want families to spend time together, and to achieve that, we must ensure that every family member, regardless of generation, can discover enjoyable, creative, and beneficial activities without limits, whether alone or with others, including activities with family pets.” Another key highlight of HappyTat is the activity space that can accommodate parades and events year-round, providing a unique experience that cannot be found elsewhere. Many of these activities will captivate children with the charm of events through interactions with various fantasy characters and participation in activities.Ms. Orada stated that HappyTat will be the world's first destination to integrate three key components in one place to create the most advanced destination project, which includes space,

events and activities, and the virtual world.

“The first component is having beautiful spaces for people of all generations and families to engage in various activities together every day, whether dining, relaxing, living, maintaining health, or participating in entertainment, learning, or cultural activities, all while being close to nature in a safe and healthy environment.”“We will integrate various activities that will be held continuously, frequently, and regularly, showcasing performances and parades aimed at astonishing and exciting people of all ages, providing facilities and opportunities for people to be more than just spectators but to actively participate in community-created activities, whether through performances, music, or pet shows, etc.

“The third component is the virtual world where people of all ages can enjoy and learn from a variety of experiences, or even fully immerse themselves in the virtual world to engage in recreational activities, whether alone, with family members, or with others in both the real and virtual worlds. These experiences will be integrated into various points in HappyTat, including forest areas, allowing people to learn about nature and interact with various animals through AR. Such initiatives have never been undertaken on this scale before, and we are investing significantly to bring this project to fruition.”

The Forestias will feature a Digital Twin and other dimensions of the virtual world within the Idyllias universe, which will be one of the metaverse realms on the Translucia platform. Translucia is being developed by T&B Media Global in Thailand. In addition to Idyllias, the Translucia platform will host the Mittaria universe and other realms.

Mr. Kittiphan Uiyamapan, President of The Forestias Project by MQDC revealed that the first phase of the HappyTat project will require an investment of over 20 billion baht.

“We are investing this much because HappyTat is a crucial part of making The Forestias achieve its commitment to being a city focused on promoting a happy and healthy lifestyle. HappyTat is a key component that will help connect the community of The Forestias and bring families closer together, aligning with our goal of creating a community that is not only clean, green, and orderly but also vibrant, joyful, and full of life.” Mr. Kittiphan stated that construction and other preparations for HappyTat are approximately 70% complete, with the first group of residents expected to move into The Forestias in the first quarter of 2024.

The Forestias project is situated on a 398 rai area along Bangna-Trad Road, Km. 7. In addition to HappyTat, which is a Themed Destination of Happiness, The Forestias also comprises various residential projects, two hotels, a health center, and a 30 rai forest at the heart of the project, with 56% of the project designated as green space, and approximately 70% lush with trees.

Other residential projects in The Forestias include the Six Senses Residence, the first Six Senses Residence built in Thailand, Mulberry Grove The Forestias Villa, which consists of cluster homes that allow different generations of the same family to live close together in separate homes for privacy, Mulberry Grove The Forestias Condominium, designed under a similar concept to the villa, the Wisdom brand condominium comprising three high-rise buildings tailored to the lifestyle of young professionals and newlywed couples, with one building specifically designed for pet lovers, and the The Aspen Tree condominium and sky villa, which excels in providing comprehensive services and amenities for lifelong care of residents.
