Hooters Thailand, an American-style food franchise under Destination Group, is hosting the Chicken Wing Eating Contest starting from May 12, 2023, covering Bangkok, Pattaya, and Patong, Phuket, and will culminate in the finals in September 2023 with a grand prize of 100,000 Baht at Hooters Nana, Bangkok.

Jessica Jano, the Operations Director of Hooters, stated that the Chicken Wing Eating Contest is an event designed for participants to savor the crispy fried chicken wings coated in a special barbecue sauce that is juicy and tender on the inside, a unique flavor only available at Hooters.

Each Hooters branch will hold competitions every Friday to select contestants for the finals. Participants must pay a registration fee of 299 Baht and sign a consent form before competing. The rules state that contestants must eat as many fried chicken wings as possible within a set time. This activity is extremely popular at Hooters locations worldwide. While there may be multiple winners from the qualifying rounds, only one will take home the grand prize of 100,000 Baht.

The first round of the chicken wing eating contest will kick off at Hooters Nana, Bangkok, on May 12, followed by Hooters Pattaya on May 19, and Hooters Phuket on May 26, 2023. The contests will continue every Friday, rotating among the three branches, leading up to the finals, which will also be held at the Nana branch.
