Architect Expo 66: 'Time of Togetherness' Concept by the Association of Siamese Architects Collaborating with 4 Professional Organizations
The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage in collaboration with TTF International Co., Ltd. is organizing Architect Expo 66, the largest architecture and construction technology exhibition in ASEAN, now in its 35th edition, attracting over 800 companies from Thailand and abroad to showcase cutting-edge construction products and innovations under the theme 'Time of Togetherness'. This event will blend the expertise of architects from various fields in a historic gathering of five professional organizations:
- The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage
- The Association of Thailand Interior Designers
- The Association of Thailand Landscape Architects
- The Association of Thailand Urban Planners
- The Council of Architects
The event is scheduled to take place from April 25-30, 2023, at Challenger Hall, Impact Muang Thong Thani, with an expected attendance of over 325,000 people over six days, stimulating the construction materials market by 22 billion baht, emphasizing the strong trend of SDGs and sustainability, along with a forum on Cultural Sustainability to enhance the value of Thai architecture.

Ms. Pui Fai Khunawat, the chairperson of Architect Expo 66, stated that this event will serve as a platform for bringing people together to discuss, ask questions, collaborate on solutions, and adapt practices for mutual benefit. This year’s theme, 'Time of Togetherness', reflects the integration of various architectural professions and collaboration with peers from different fields. It marks the first time that five chairpersons from five professional organizations are collaborating: The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, The Association of Thailand Interior Designers, The Association of Thailand Landscape Architects, The Association of Thailand Urban Planners, and The Council of Architects. This significant gathering of four specialized professions aims to design environments that contribute to a more sustainable society and world, akin to a 'dish' that selects ingredients and flavors to satisfy the palate of the world and society, which is in need of change amidst numerous contemporary challenges.

Beyond organizing natural areas around buildings, it also addresses other dimensions crucial to everyone’s living conditions. The TALA exhibition area will showcase significant architectural professional works from Thailand and the region, enhancing understanding of landscape architecture. A TALA CLASSROOM will be set up for discussions, relaxation, and listening in an arena format, presenting topics related to landscape architecture, such as chefs and landscape architects, certified arborists, and the fundamental knowledge and importance of soil in landscape work, all in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Mr. Supaman Makha, Deputy Managing Director of TTF International Co., Ltd., as the organizer of Architect Expo 66, stated that this event represents a full-scale return to pre-COVID-19 conditions, covering an area of 75,000 square meters, gathering innovations in design and construction products and services from over 800 companies both domestically and internationally, with international exhibitors accounting for more than seven times the previous year’s event, or 21.33%, from countries such as Australia, China, Finland, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the United States, reinforcing that the Architect Expo is a recognized platform for showcasing construction technology and innovations at an international level.
Throughout the six-day event, approximately 325,000 attendees are expected, which can stimulate the economy, particularly in the construction materials sector, by over 22 billion baht, a 10% increase from last year. The key factor is the improving COVID-19 situation, allowing more international exhibitors to participate. Additionally, the organizers have collaborated with exhibition organizers in the architecture and construction materials sectors across Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Taiwan, providing opportunities to promote the event to international partners. Furthermore, the highlights and activities in the exhibition area this year are expected to be as outstanding as last year’s event, including:
