Queen Sirikit National Convention Center Collaborates with Bangkok to Offer 'First Happiness' for the New Year with the 'Bangkok Good for the Heart' Activity Promoting Physical and Mental Health for City Dwellers
Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, in collaboration with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, presents the special gift of “First Happiness” to the people of Bangkok on the “First Friday” of the New Year. This is part of the activity “Bangkok Good for the Heart”, aimed at promoting good physical and mental health among the citizens through activities such as merit-making, Dharma in the park, a health market, and wellness activities at Benjakitti Park from January 6-7.
The “Bangkok Good for the Heart” event is organized by the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, with the objective of fostering good physical and mental health for the people of Bangkok and all interested individuals of all ages, while encouraging the use of public spaces like “Benjakitti Park” for various activities for all age groups.
Mr. Sakchai Patthaprichakul, Managing Director of N.C.C. Management and Development Co., Ltd., which manages the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, stated that organizing the “Bangkok Good for the Heart” event is a way to deliver “First Happiness” that encourages the citizens to improve their physical and mental health in 2023 through shared activities in public spaces, aligning with the center's goal of being more than just a “convention center” and providing opportunities for people and surrounding communities to engage in an active lifestyle.

The activities within the “Bangkok Good for the Heart” event include:
Heartfelt Happiness with activities “Bangkok Good for the Heart”
Merit-Making Activity for First Happiness by offering dry food and rice to 99 monks to bring blessings for the New Year.
Morning Dharma Sounds meditating in the morning by listening to sermons and practicing meditation with Phra Methiwachirodom (V. Wachirameethi) to start the New Year with an awakened heart.

Physical Well-being with activities “Relaxing in the Park”
Yoga in the Park and Evening Sound Bath classes suitable for city dwellers seeking relief from Office Syndrome and balancing their lives. Mindfulness Yoga classes to strengthen and calm the body and mind, suitable for everyone of all ages. Sound Bath Therapy offers an experience of sound healing to bring positive energy to the body and mind, promoting deep relaxation.
Join the Park Preservation with Volunteer Activities inviting city dwellers to help care for, restore, and explore trees while learning about the park's ecosystem.
Fun Tree Climbing for Kids allowing children to try climbing trees and closely experience nature, promoting learning and movement development through play, supervised by arborists and staff from the Big Trees Project.
