The Thailand Smart City Expo 2022 has officially begun, showcasing international products and technologies related to smart cities from November 30 to December 2 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. This event serves as a platform to accelerate Thailand's transition into a smart city efficiently through collaboration between the public and private sectors. In line with the national strategy for smart city development, which is part of the 20-year national strategy and the 13th National Economic and Social Development Plan, the goal is to foster economic growth and develop sustainable, livable cities that can adapt to changes. Currently, 30 cities across 23 provinces have received the “Smart City Thailand” certification, demonstrating their readiness for urban development aimed at maximizing benefits for citizens.

Today serves as a model of collaboration among relevant sectors for smart city development, which is a positive sign for participatory national development,” stated the Deputy Prime Minister.
