The Thai Condominium Association, the Thai Real Estate Association, and the Housing Developers Association have joined forces with over 200 operators to maintain project prices for more than 1,000 listings, countering the trend of rising interest rates and inflation. This event offers hope for those looking to own a home, allowing them to shop with peace of mind at the 42nd Housing and Condo Fair at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center from October 27-30, 2022.

Mr. Chai Rat Thampeer, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 42nd Housing and Condo Fair, stated, "This event marks a return to normalcy, with strong cooperation from developers, financial institutions, and agencies, as well as over 200 brands in real estate and construction participating. Importantly, this remains the largest housing exhibition in the country, featuring over 1,000 projects across all types, price ranges, and locations. Furthermore, this event represents a collective effort by developers to stabilize product prices amidst the current rise in interest rates and inflation, giving aspiring homeowners a golden opportunity to choose their dream homes at favorable prices before adjustments take place early next year."

“The projects showcased at this event include 32.8% condominiums, 19.7% single-family homes, 16.4% townhouses, and others. The organizing committee anticipates nearly 100,000 attendees over the four days of the fair, with total bookings and sales during and after the event exceeding 50 billion baht.”

Mr. Chai Rat highlighted factors contributing to the success of this event, stating, “The real estate market in 2022 shows signs of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, with increased sales of condominiums priced under 2 million baht compared to last year, a rise in property transfers in Bangkok and surrounding areas, and a growing number of new projects from developers in the latter half of the year as the inventory of unsold projects continues to decrease. Additionally, the volume of approved loans from various financial institutions in the first half of the year has increased, indicating a continuous expansion in demand for both horizontal and vertical housing, particularly in the lower and mid-price segments. Moreover, this Housing and Condo Fair coincides with the relaxation of LTV measures allowing 100% loans for both new and second-hand homes, which the Bank of Thailand has set to end this year, along with the extension of reduced transfer and mortgage fees until the end of 2022. Furthermore, early next year, the Treasury Department will implement a new land appraisal price list, which will see an average increase of 8% nationwide.”

“These factors clearly indicate that the 42nd Housing and Condo Fair is taking place during a golden opportunity, just before various support measures expire. Additionally, participating developers are collectively committed to stabilizing product prices, offering both new and stocked items at special prices, regardless of rising interest rates, inflation, and increasing labor costs. Therefore, we invite those looking to own a home to come and explore products from leading developers at this event, which will take place from October 27-30, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Hall 5, LG Floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.”

In addition to the special promotions prepared by each participating developer at their booths, the organizing committee has also arranged a major event promotion with prizes totaling over 300,000 baht.
