The National Housing Authority opened its doors for the OPEN HOUSE of Khaohasukhpracha Public Company Limited, officially introducing its shareholders and revealing progress on 100,000 rental homes with employment opportunities, raising over 60 billion baht from the private sector. The initiative aims to create a parallel community economy under the concept of "Having a Home - Having a Job - Having Income - Being Happy", providing residents with housing and employment in line with the philosophy of sufficiency economy, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

Mr. Juti Krairerk, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, stated that Khaohasukhpracha Public Company Limited was established to ensure the smooth and rapid implementation of the "Khaohasukhpracha Housing" project, aiming to provide housing for all, particularly for low-income and vulnerable groups, while reducing social inequality. This initiative is designed to improve the quality of life for Thai citizens, ensuring stable income and access to quality housing, in line with the government policy led by Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-o-cha.

“The mission of Khaohasukhpracha is advancing rapidly through collaboration with the National Housing Authority and shareholders who prioritize creating comfortable, clean, and safe housing. The project also aims to develop a community economy alongside housing, enabling residents to pursue careers based on the sufficiency economy philosophy, thereby improving their quality of life with the model of Having a Home - Having a Job - Having Income - Being Happy,” he added.
According to Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority and Chairman of Khaohasukhpracha Public Company Limited, the company is primarily owned by the National Housing Authority with a 49.0% stake, along with six other shareholders, including Oamsuk Social Enterprise Co., Ltd. (25.0%), Window Asia Public Company Limited (11.0%), Thai Long Stay Management Co., Ltd. (5.0%), Facility Management Co., Ltd. (5.0%), Mahajak Electric (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The initial registered capital is 500 million baht, with 245 million baht from the National Housing Authority and 255 million baht from non-government shareholders.
The budget for the "Khaohasukhpracha Rental Homes with Employment" project will be entirely funded by the private sector, totaling over 60 billion baht, with Khaohasukhpracha appointing Trinity Securities as the fundraising advisor.

The goal for the construction of the Khaohasukhpracha rental homes with employment is to complete 100,000 units within four years, starting from 2022 to 2026. The construction targets are set at 30,000 units per year for 2022-2023 and 20,000 units per year for 2024-2025. The project has already delivered 302 units in the "Khaohasukhpracha Chalonkhrung" pilot project, followed by 270 units in the "Khaohasukhpracha Romklao" project, with rental rates ranging from 1,500 to 3,500 baht per month.
Furthermore, the Khaohasukhpracha project also aims to create a parallel community economy under the concept of "Having a Home - Having a Job - Having Income - Being Happy" to enhance the quality of life for residents, allowing them to pursue careers based on the sufficiency economy philosophy. The project will include green spaces, recreational areas, parking spaces, and "Sukhpracha Economy" areas tailored to the development needs of each locality, encompassing six models: organic agriculture, livestock, markets, retail and wholesale centers, community service professions, and small-scale industries, promoting independent careers within the community and supporting the local economy from production to distribution.
“The Khaohasukhpracha housing project is progressing rapidly, driven by the policy of Minister Juti Krairerk, who believes that a good society begins at home, in a warm family. The 100,000 rental units in this project will create opportunities for low-income and vulnerable groups to live in quality housing at reasonable prices while also developing job skills in the community to generate income, leading to an improved quality of life and sustainable social advancement,” Mr. Thaveepong concluded.
