Britania Public Company Limited, or BRI is responding to the mega trend of clean energy by expanding its collaboration with partners to gradually install solar rooftops in homes within the 'Grand Britania' projects across 7 locations currently available for sale, capable of generating approximately 5 kilowatts of electricity after installation at the Britania Club in 2 projects, while promoting the use of clean energy.

Ms. Suphalak Janpitak, Chief Executive Officer of Britania Public Company Limited (BRI), has revealed that the company prioritizes the integration of clean energy innovations into its housing projects to meet the mega trend and the behaviors of residents today, who are increasingly concerned about energy conservation and environmental protection, as well as enhancing the quality of life for homeowners in the projects. Recently, the company has begun installing 'solar rooftops' in homes within the 'Grand Britania' brand across 7 locations currently available for sale, including: 1. Grand Britania Ring Road-Ramintra 2. Grand Britania Ratchaphruek-Rama 5 3. Grand Britania
Bangna Suvarnabhumi 4. Grand Britania Nonthaburi Station 5. Grand Britania Bangna Km. 35 6. Grand Britania Rama 9 - Krungthep Kreetha and 7. Grand Britania Kukot Station.

The installation of these solar rooftops is part of a collaboration with Origin Gunkul Energy Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI) and Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited (GUNKUL), to jointly operate in renewable and clean energy within residential projects. Previously, they piloted the installation of solar panels at the Grand Britania Club, which is a clubhouse in the Grand Britania Bangna Km. 12 and Grand Britania Ratchaphruek - Rama 5 projects.

The solar rooftops installed in the Grand Britania homes across 7 projects are On-Grid systems that will directly supply electricity to the homes allowing residents to switch between using electricity generated from the solar rooftops or purchasing electricity from the utility. The installed solar panels have a capacity of approximately 5 kW (kilowatts), which, when operating at full capacity, is sufficient to support the use of various electrical appliances during the daytime, including 10 bulbs of 10 watts each, 1 refrigerator of 10 cubic feet, 3 50-inch TVs, and 4 air conditioners of 12,000 BTUs.

Additionally, if there is excess electricity, residents can register to participate in the community solar cell project to sell the surplus electricity to the Metropolitan Electricity Authority or the Provincial Electricity Authority at the specified purchase rates. Furthermore, the installation of solar rooftops also helps to block sunlight during the day, reducing the workload of air conditioning units.

“We aim to provide clean energy to enhance options for residents in the Grand Britania projects. In addition to installing solar rooftops, which are a clean energy source that does not cause pollution and helps save energy, we are studying the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles, with a pilot installation in the model homes of the Britania Amata - Panthong project in Chonburi, set to open for pre-sales on June 25-26, 2022, and will further assess the feasibility of installing charging stations in model homes of other projects,” Ms. Suphalak stated.
