Bang Bon Plastic Group Transforms into Nano Electric Products, Targets 1.5 Billion Baht Sales in 2022
Bang Bon Plastic Group has rebranded as Nano Electric Products Co., Ltd. under the concept of “Comprehensive Solutions for Electrical Equipment and Construction Plastic Products” to enhance brand recognition among consumers. The company aims to aggressively penetrate the real estate development sector and reported a revenue of 435 million baht in the first four months of 2022 (January - April 2022), a 20% increase compared to the same period last year, with a target of 1.5 billion baht in total sales by the end of 2022.
Mr. Patthar Boonyalaksm, Deputy CEO of Nano Electric Products Co., Ltd., stated, “The company was established in 1986 and has been a manufacturer of plastic components for engineering applications, focusing on producing finished products and parts according to customer specifications, known as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). We have produced high-quality plastic components for various industries, including automotive, computer, and electrical appliances for leading brands both domestically and internationally. In 2007, the company expanded its production base and established the Nano Electric Products brand to distribute products such as electrical conduits, cable trays, waterproof cabinets, waterproof boxes, plastic electrical panels, consumer units, switches, and sockets, which have long been recognized for their quality and standards. To align with the evolving business direction, the company changed its name from Bang Bon Plastic Group Co., Ltd. to Nano Electric Products Co., Ltd. on April 1, 2022, under the concept of “Comprehensive Solutions for Electrical Equipment and Construction Plastic Products.”
Mr. Patthar explained that the name change reflects the company's desire to enhance brand recognition among consumers and customers using its products, making it easier for them to remember the Nano brand. The company is also adjusting its marketing strategy to expand its customer base across all segments with its products and manufacturing capabilities.
Additionally, he discussed the business plans for the second half of the year, stating that the company has developed a marketing strategy to aggressively target real estate developers this year. The company plans to expand its production area and warehouse by over 8,000 square meters, increase production capacity by purchasing high-quality machinery from Japan and Germany, with a total investment of over 200 million baht, and enhance its project sales management team with experienced personnel. The company is also partnering with various associations, including the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT), the Building Inspector Association (BSA), and the Thai Electrical and Mechanical Contractors Association (TEMCA), as well as utilizing various online promotional channels to boost branding, which is crucial for long-term business operations.
In the first four months of 2022 (January - April 2022), the company achieved total sales of 435 million baht, a 20% increase compared to the same period last year, with a goal of generating 1.5 billion baht in revenue by the end of 2022. Overall, the company has not been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic over the past 2-3 years, as it has adjusted its marketing strategies both offline and online to reach more customers. The company has also developed its IT and logistics systems to better meet customer demands, resulting in continuous revenue growth, especially as many businesses had to close or renovate to comply with COVID-19 prevention measures, leading to increased demand for electrical and construction plastic products.
Currently, 70% of the company's revenue comes from the Traditional Trade segment, which includes leading retail stores across the country that trust the quality and reasonable pricing of Nano products. Another 15% comes from leading private real estate developers such as Origin Property Public Company Limited, Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, Areeya Property Public Company Limited, Land and Houses Public Company Limited, Sansiri Public Company Limited, and other real estate developers, including government projects. The remaining 10% of the company's revenue comes from stores and operators abroad, with the final portion coming from Modern Trade and online platforms.
The company currently offers over 3,000 products that meet various domestic and international standards, including TIS, JIS, BSEN, UL, CE, and IEC. To align with government policies, the company has applied for additional product certifications, guaranteed by the Federation of Thai Industries as products manufactured in Thailand (Made in Thailand or MiT), which the government prioritizes and supports by allocating budgets to assist domestic manufacturers for use in government procurement projects.
Nano Electric Products Co., Ltd. has also been selected as one of the suppliers for national government organizations such as the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), maintaining a continuous Business to Government (B2G) relationship every year. This certification also enhances confidence and opportunities for exporting products abroad by building trust in the products among partners and consumers.
