• J Ventures, Index Creative Village, Eventpass, WARRIX, Prakit Holdings, and Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) have come together to establish D.OASIS, a hub for new knowledge and technology that will propel Thailand to become a leader in Web3 and the Metaverse in Asia. Partnering with various stakeholders, they aim to create an ecosystem to develop the Metaverse, NFTs, DAPPs, and new lab formats that will be unveiled to the market soon.
  • The global Metaverse market is expected to soar to $800 billion by 2028, with over 70% of people projected to transition to virtual worlds in the future. Organizations are advised to prepare their workforce and strategize for the significant disruption of Web3 to create opportunities and gain a competitive edge.
  • The first course on Metaverse Development will launch this April, offering comprehensive knowledge and techniques for building the Metaverse, along with intensive workshops that allow students to create their own Metaverse through shared insights and experiences from industry experts such as SmartContract Blockchain Studio, ANT from DPU, GAMEINDY, and Tokenine.

Mr. Sirikiat Bunworaset, Managing Director of D.OASIS, stated that J Ventures, Index Creative Village, Eventpass, Warrix, Prakit Holdings, and Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) have collaborated to establish D.OASIS as a repository of knowledge and expertise related to Web3 and the Metaverse. This initiative aims to bring together organizations from the public sector, private sector, and educational institutions to collectively advance Thailand's Web3 and Metaverse to the top tier in Asia. D.OASIS is open to additional partners to share technology, tools, and knowledge, currently collaborating with companies such as Avalant, BitToon, Bridge Consulting, Daydev, GAMEINDY, Hal Finney, I AM Consulting, Satoshi, SmartContract Blockchain Studio, and Tokenine, with a goal of having over 100 partners by next year.

“In the future, Web3 will be as significant, if not more so, than the emergence of the internet and the previous Web2 era. It will shift systems from centralized transactions to decentralized ones and transform life from the Physical World to the Virtual World. We are already witnessing this transformation with the rise of the Metaverse, NFTs, and DAPPs. D.OASIS will serve as a mechanism to help organizations and agencies quickly adapt to the Web3 world,” he added.

D.OASIS has outlined its core operations across four areas encompassing all aspects of Web3: D.OASIS Lab, Metaverse, NFTs, and DAPPs, all of which will be developed into innovative formats that align with future organizations. This year, we will see the operational progress of all groups throughout the year, with an upcoming initiative being the D.OASIS Lab, which will focus on research and development, as well as training personnel to equip them with the knowledge and expertise needed to prepare for the Web3 and Metaverse era.

Mr. Sathapon Patanakuha, Director of D.OASIS Lab, shared that the role of D.OASIS Lab will enhance various skills related to Web3 for Thai individuals through short courses and seminars. The first course, Metaverse Developer, will start with IT Architecture, which is crucial for building the Metaverse, followed by in-depth knowledge and techniques related to Metaverse creation, including 3D, Interactive Web, Cryptocurrency, WebGL, and WebXR. Workshops will also allow students to experiment with creating their own Metaverse, taught by real industry experts from Web3 such as SmartContract Blockchain Studio, the College of Creative Design and Entertainment Technology (ANT) at DPU, GAMEINDY, and Tokenine. Additionally, successful Metaverse project creators will be invited to share their insights and experiences.

The Metaverse Developer course is suitable for system developers or IT executives in organizations looking to disrupt themselves and transition into the Metaverse. Organizations in highly competitive industries will have Innovation teams driving change, which can also be referred to as Metaverse Developers. As the future of the internet is Web3, these individuals will be crucial in bringing innovations to develop their organizations to keep pace with the emergence of Web3, enhancing their competitive capabilities for long-term business sustainability.
