KUN Achieves Record Performance in 2021 with 24% Revenue Growth and 84% Profit Surge, Sales Reach 1.51 Billion Baht
KUN has showcased its outstanding performance for the year 2021, achieving a new record high with a 24% increase in revenue and an 84% surge in profit, reaching sales of 1.51 billion baht. The company is set to launch two new projects valued at over 4 billion baht, focusing on residential development around Bangkok and its suburbs.
Villa Kunalai Public Company Limited (KUN) announced its financial results for 2021, marking the highest performance since the company's inception. The company reported sales revenue of 991.62 million baht, a 24.01% increase year-on-year (YoY), and a net profit of 155.74 million baht, an 84% increase (YoY). The presale figures closed at 1,509.58 million baht. CEO Praweerat Tevaakson stated that in 2022, the company will continue to develop residential projects in the Bangkok metropolitan area across all dimensions, aiming to launch two new projects worth a total of 4 billion baht, with a revenue growth target of 15-20% and a sales target of 1.8 billion baht.

Praweerat Tevaakson, CEO of Villa Kunalai Public Company Limited (KUN), a developer of horizontal real estate projects in suburban areas, revealed that despite the challenges faced by the real estate sector over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to lockdown measures and worker camp closures, the company managed to create strong growth opportunities. In 2021, KUN achieved a new high in both revenue and profit, with sales revenue of 991.63 million baht, a 24.01% increase from the previous year, and a net profit of 155.74 million baht, an 84% increase compared to the previous year. The presale figures for the entire year reached 1.51 billion baht, surpassing the target of 1.5 billion baht, also setting a new record high, driven by increased sales from six main projects: Kunalai Preem, Kunalai Joy, Kunalai Joy On 314, Kunalai Beacons 2, Kunalai Courtyard, and Beacons 1.
The main factors contributing to this growth include KUN's strategic adjustments to navigate the COVID-19 crisis through three key success factors:
1) Adaptability: The company has shown flexibility in its management approach to align with the current situation.
2) Decision Accuracy: The company seeks investment opportunities (turning crises into opportunities) by recognizing the demand for affordable housing that meets consumer needs in terms of space and price. Kunalai's housing projects have been adjusted to meet these needs effectively.
3) Resource Allocation: The company focuses on managing human resources and optimizing resource efficiency to enhance operational effectiveness, including financial management to align investments with the situation.
"The outstanding performance over the past year reflects our commitment to being a leader in residential development in the areas surrounding Bangkok and its suburbs. The company studies consumer behavior and creates functions based on customer needs, enhancing daily living in homes. Therefore, project development will focus on creating homes with functions that align with changing consumer behaviors, as consumers are spending more time at home. Thus, the homes in Kunalai's projects meet the needs of this consumer group," said the CEO.
The CEO of Villa Kunalai (KUN) also discussed the growth strategy for 2022, stating that the company will continue to develop residential projects in the Bangkok metropolitan area across all dimensions, with plans to launch two new projects this year valued at over 4 billion baht, including Kunalai Daisy in Bang Bua Thong and Kunalai Navara in Rama 2-Bang Khun Thian, aiming for a revenue growth target of 15-20% and a sales target of 1.8 billion baht.
Additionally, KUN plans to develop homes in an Eco Smart format, installing solar panels in its projects, starting with the Solar Rooftop system in the Kunalai Preem project, allowing homeowners to see the effectiveness of solar energy in reducing electricity consumption, along with space management improvements both inside and outside the homes to better meet customer needs under the concept of "Kunalai creates space, creates happiness."
