Pruksa Invests 3.5 Billion Baht in New Corporate Venture to Capture Future Trends
Pruksa has allocated a budget of 3.5 billion baht to integrate digital innovations into new business ventures, aiming to capture future trends. The company showcases its strong financial structure, targeting a 23% increase in real estate sales in 2022 to reach 31 billion baht and an 18% increase in transfers to 33 billion baht. It plans to establish recurring income businesses and expand health-related services.

Mr. Uthen Lohachitpitak, CEO of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited stated that the company has set aside approximately 3.5 billion baht to explore new business opportunities aligned with global future trends through investments, partnerships, and Outside-in Innovation, focusing on two main areas that will support its core business: PropTech and Health Tech. PropTech will emphasize enhancing customer experiences, digital sales and marketing, Smart Home IoT, and Senior Living/Nursing Homes, while Health Tech will focus on platforms related to medical services via the internet, managing the healthcare supply chain, and hardware for health care.
Earlier this year, the company invested in leading firms in Clinical Laboratories, Digital Health, and Genomic Labs in Singapore, as well as organizing a Bootcamp to select teams for External Venture Building. It is also studying the feasibility of investing in startups abroad, with plans to start investments in March. All these efforts will strengthen Pruksa Holding's business chain through collaboration with organizations and the innovation technology of startups.




Mr. Piya Prayong, CEO of Pruksa Real Estate Public Company Limited mentioned that the company's performance in 2021 saw sales of 25.4 billion baht, a growth of 16%, with single-family homes growing by 23% compared to 2020, generating revenue of 28 billion baht and launching a total of 31 new projects worth 21.1 billion baht.
For 2022, the plan for new project launches will focus on horizontal markets, targeting real demand segments for middle to upper-income customers, as there is still purchasing power during the COVID situation. The company plans to launch a total of 31 new projects valued at approximately 16.3 billion baht, including 22 townhouse projects, 6 single-family home projects, and 3 condominium projects. The condominium segment will focus on launching the Plum and The Privacy brands, targeting price ranges of 2-3 million baht.
The sales target is set at 31 billion baht, an increase of 23%, and transfers at 33 billion baht, an increase of 18%. Additionally, there are 7 condominium projects scheduled for delivery this year, valued at 2.9 billion baht, to support revenue for this year, along with plans to purchase land worth around 3,000 - 5,000 million baht.

Dr. Kritthawit Lertuthakool, CEO of Vimut Hospital Holding Company Limited stated that regarding the healthcare business, after Vimut Hospital opened its services in May 2021, it is now ready to provide services. This year, the focus is on developing innovations in Digital Healthtech, such as applications, telemedicine, and services that cater to patients with NCDs like diabetes and hypertension, as well as addressing the lifestyle trends of the elderly. There are also plans to develop elderly care centers in Pruksa's condominium projects in potential urban locations. This year, the revenue target is set at 700 million baht, doubling from 2021.
Nevertheless, Pruksa Holding has strong financial stability, currently boasting cash flow from operations of over 11.9 billion baht. The company has a net gearing ratio of 0.36x and has received a corporate credit rating of A from Tris Rating with a stable outlook. Due to last year's performance, the company has resolved to pay a dividend for the year 2021 at a rate of 0.96 baht per share, having already paid an interim dividend of 0.31 baht per share, leaving a remaining dividend of 0.65 baht per share to be proposed for approval at the annual general meeting of shareholders in April 2022.
