NS BlueScope (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leader in the production of coated metal and color-coated steel, has been operating in Thailand for over 30 years. Led by Ms. Maneenuch Kongachapathar (4th from the right), Vice President of Marketing at NS BlueScope (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the company participated in an award ceremony organized in collaboration with BlueScope and the Siam Architects Association under Royal Patronage. The event was honored by Mr. Adul Kaewdee (3rd from the left), Central Committee of the Siam Architects Association under Royal Patronage, and Mr. Winyu Vanichsiriroj (4th from the left), a judging committee member, who presented cash prizes totaling over 790,000 Baht along with certificates of recognition to the winners and finalists of the “BlueScope Design Awards 2021”, based on the theme “The Sustainability of Coated Steel Buildings”.

The design competition for the “BlueScope Design Awards 2021” was divided into two categories:

Category 1: “The Sustainability of Coated Steel Buildings Design Contest” includes experimental designs or designs that are in progress or under construction. The winner was the design project for a synchrotron light source building with a power level of 3GeV and an operational building by Architects 49 Co., Ltd..

Category 2: “The Sustainability of Coated Steel Buildings of the Year 2021/2022” includes completed building designs for professional architects or project owners, divided into three subcategories:

• Residential Category: The winner was the design of KING KONG HOUSE by Architects 49 House Design Co., Ltd.

• Commercial Category: The winner was the design of the restaurant Baan Som Tum and Hom Cafe by SUPAR STUDIO CO., LTD.

• Institutional Category: The winner was the design of the Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School (Bangkok Prep) by Plan Architect Co., Ltd.

The “BlueScope Design Awards 2021” was held to find the best building designers, a collaboration between NS BlueScope (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Siam Architects Association under Royal Patronage, aimed at enhancing building design methods using coated metal and color-coated steel products to achieve sustainable design and usage.
