The Fiscal Policy Office - FPO reports on the regional economic situation weekly (Regional Weekly) as of October 15, 2021, as follows:
(1) The number of newly registered trucks in September 2021 increased by 21.2%.
(2) Factories that began operations in September 2021 had an investment value of 10,826 million baht, with significant capital in Bangkok and its vicinity, as well as in the Eastern region.

➢ The number of newly registered trucks in September 2021 was 6,245 units, representing a growth of 21.2% year-on-year compared to the previous month (and when seasonally adjusted, the growth was 27.20% month-on-month). The details are as follows:
1) Bangkok and its vicinity grew by 59.8% year-on-year, with strong growth in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Samut Prakan.
2) The Western region grew by 38.2% year-on-year, with notable growth in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Kanchanaburi, and Suphan Buri.
3) The Southern region grew by 32.5% year-on-year, with growth in Satun, Songkhla, and Ranong.
4) The Northeastern region grew by 2.6% year-on-year, with growth in Chaiyaphum, Roi Et, and Sakon Nakhon.
5) The Eastern region grew by 1.6% year-on-year, with growth in Chonburi, Sa Kaeo, and Chachoengsao.
6) The Central region grew by 0.6% year-on-year, with growth in Lopburi, Ang Thong, and Saraburi.
7) The Northern region contracted at a rate of -5.4% year-on-year, with growth in Uttaradit, Chiang Mai, and Phrae.

➢ The capital of factories that began operations in September 2021 was valued at 10,826 million baht, with investments distributed across various regions, particularly:
1) Bangkok and its vicinity had a capital value of 4,050.67 million baht, with investments in Samut Sakhon amounting to 1,828.88 million baht, including 1,153.54 million baht for metal sheet cutting, bending, and forming factories, and investments in Samut Prakan amounting to 1,114.35 million baht, primarily for animal feed mixing factories valued at 800 million baht.
2) The Eastern region had a capital value of 2,999 million baht, with investments in Chonburi amounting to 1,188.55 million baht, including 799.12 million baht for rubber glove production, such as medical and general rubber gloves, and investments in Sa Kaeo amounting to 669 million baht, primarily for cassava starch production factories valued at 668 million baht.
