Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) Weekly Regional Economic Report as of February 11, 2022 is as follows: 
(1) The number of newly registered passenger cars in January 2022 decreased by 12.0%
(2) The number of newly registered motorcycles in January 2022 increased by 7.2%

➢ The number of newly registered passenger cars in January 2022 was 54,737 units, a decrease of 12.0% year-on-year (however, when adjusted for seasonal effects, it shows a decrease of 10.8% month-on-month seasonally adjusted). Details include: 1) The Central region grew by 3.5% year-on-year from the previous month, which grew by 4.2% year-on-year, with Ang Thong, Saraburi, and Lopburi showing the best growth. 2) The Northern region grew by 0.3% year-on-year from the previous month, which had decreased by 25.6% year-on-year, with Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, and Nan showing the best growth. 3) The Southern region decreased by 5.9% year-on-year from the previous month, which had decreased by 5.3% year-on-year; however, Yala, Phuket, and Songkhla still managed to show growth.

➢ The number of newly registered motorcycles in January 2022 was 158,920 units, an increase of 7.2% year-on-year (however, when adjusted for seasonal effects, it shows a decrease of 12.3% month-on-month seasonally adjusted). Details include: 1) The Eastern region grew by 20.6% year-on-year from the previous month, which grew by 12.2% year-on-year, with Sa Kaeo, Trat, and Chonburi showing the best growth. 2) The Southern region grew by 16.1% year-on-year from the previous month, which grew by 31.3% year-on-year, with Phuket, Satun, and Surat Thani showing the best growth. 3) The Northeastern region grew by 12.6% year-on-year from the previous month, which grew by 25.4% year-on-year, with Amnat Charoen, Bueng Kan, and Nong Bua Lam Phu showing the best growth.
