Thongma Vijitpongpan, Chairman and CEO of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, continues to donate personal funds in the name of the Vijitpongpan Fund for the Year 2021 for the 12th consecutive year, providing support to temples, educational institutions, hospitals, foundations, and various public benefit organizations across the country. This includes assistance for those affected by the COVID-19 situation, totaling over 56 million baht, in line with the original intention to promote religion, support scholarships, and assist organizations working for society and Thailand.

The inception of giving back to society through the Vijitpongpan Fund, which is Thongma Vijitpongpan's personal fund, stems from his life experiences of receiving opportunities from Chulalongkorn University during his higher education. That scholarship was a significant turning point that allowed Thongma to create his own business and become a recognized successful entrepreneur in Thailand. At the same time, it made him aware of social inequalities, prompting him to establish the Vijitpongpan Fund to give back to society.

Miss Rattima Hohoomdee, a recent graduate from the Faculty of Social Administration at Thammasat University, is another student supported by the Vijitpongpan Fund through the Good Student Scholarship program from rural areas for four consecutive years at Thammasat University. She shared her experience of receiving the scholarship: "Since my family cannot support my education financially because I have two younger siblings currently studying in high school and elementary school, without this scholarship, I would not have had the opportunity to graduate from higher education or it would have been extremely difficult. This full scholarship significantly reduces my expenses, allowing me more time to engage in university activities. I can also send some of the funds to support my siblings' education. I am very grateful to the fund's owner for supporting me in accessing and receiving great opportunities to participate in various activities at the university and motivating me to contribute to society in the future."

The Vijitpongpan Fund has also collaborated with Wimutt Hospital to assist patients whose surgeries were postponed or who have been waiting for surgery due to the COVID-19 pandemic by covering surgical expenses (Privilege Surgery) for 92 patients. This includes knee surgeries, hip surgeries, breast surgeries for treatment, eye surgeries (cataracts, glaucoma, pterygium), appendectomies, hernia surgeries, and gastrointestinal cancer surgeries, among others. Amornsri Sangkhabut, one of the patients who received knee replacement surgery at Wimutt Hospital, expressed her gratitude: "Thank you to the Vijitpongpan Fund and Wimutt Hospital for making this surgery possible. I have been waiting for this opportunity for four years. Without this program, I would still be enduring pain. Thank you so much!"

Thongma not only donates through the Vijitpongpan Fund but also supports a "Heart Fund" by allowing all employees of Pruksa to participate as intermediaries in presenting, screening, and offering these opportunities to organizations, hospitals, foundations, and educational institutions, along with periodic follow-ups to ensure that the donated funds genuinely create benefits as intended. This creates a sense of fulfillment for the volunteer employees who have the opportunity to contribute to society.

Although the COVID-19 situation has halted many activities and prevented the fund distribution ceremony from taking place this year, the Vijitpongpan Fund continues to serve as a vital resource to promote religion, education, and society robustly. It also provides support to help those affected by the COVID-19 situation, in line with its original intention, which has been ongoing since 2010. In 2021, the Vijitpongpan Fund marks its 12th year of providing support to over 100 organizations, totaling more than 387 million baht, with the aim of promoting religion, supporting scholarships, and assisting various agencies that benefit society and Thailand continuously.
