CMC Spreads Its Wings, Expanding into the Medical Business

Dr. Wichian Patthayanun, CEO of Chao Phraya Mahakhan Public Company Limited CMC announced that "In 2020, the company invested in the P. Pat Hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima. The P. Pat Hospital has been operating since 1991 and consists of two facilities: P. Pat Hospital 1 and P. Pat Hospital 2, with a total of 282 beds, making it one of the largest hospitals in Nakhon Ratchasima."

Currently, the company has invested over 170 million baht for a 25% stake in P. Pat Hospital. In 2019, P. Pat Hospital reported total revenue of over 636 million baht and a net profit of over 33 million baht, with plans to register on the stock exchange in the near future.

  

For future investments in the medical sector, the company's board has approved the establishment of a subsidiary to operate in this business. The company aims to be a continuously growing operator and plans to foster growth by seeking partnerships, joint ventures, and potential M&A in the near future as well."
