Mr. Worawut Kanjanakul, the president of the Home Building Business Association, stated that he has taken on the role for the term 2020-2022 and aims to push forward 3 main policies: Policy 1 focuses on establishing the association as a trusted entity for consumers (Trusted by Consumers) through various activities such as raising consumer awareness, enhancing the association's website for accurate information access, organizing home building exhibitions with comprehensive publicity, and conducting member screening to ensure that member companies are credible and trustworthy. Additionally, the association will continue its social responsibility activities (CSR), primarily focusing on youth through the project "Home Building Business Association Builds the Future for Thai Children," with ongoing activities planned for this year.

In Policy 2, the focus will be on creating participation to generate value (Participation to Create Value), encouraging member involvement in the joint development of the home building market through continuous product and service development, including house designs, construction, and marketing strategies, presented to consumers through various exhibitions. The association also aims to collaborate with external organizations to enhance the home building business, such as partnerships with educational institutions to produce quality personnel for the industry, with ongoing activities showing an increase in qualified personnel each year.

Policy 3 focuses on sustainable development (Sustainable Development), where the association must promote sustainable growth for its members amid economic changes. This includes enhancing knowledge and developing new innovations in the business, providing skills training for personnel through seminars, international study tours, and knowledge exchanges with both domestic and international organizations. Furthermore, the association emphasizes environmental considerations and encourages members to design homes that accommodate an aging society.

"These 3 key policies serve as a model for our continuous development, guided by the vision that the Home Building Business Association is trusted by consumers, participates to create value, and promotes sustainable development - Trusted by Consumers, Participation to Create Value, and Sustainable Development," Mr. Worawut stated.

Mr. Worawut further explained that during his 3-year term as president, each year will have a different management strategy. In the first year, the focus will be on building awareness, emphasizing raising awareness among society, government agencies, and consumers through various activities that will weave a cohesive narrative throughout the year.

The second year will focus on development, emphasizing the development of home building standards, including creating manuals and standards for home building, and developing personnel or member staff.

The third year will focus on achieving sustainability, analyzing consumer awareness results, member development in both quantity and quality, and providing solutions and results to the next management team to ensure the association's work leads to sustainability.

The development of these 3 policies over the 3-year term will show that the association focuses on internal development, pushing members to enhance products and personnel to deliver quality products and services, which in turn builds consumer trust in the association and the home building business. Currently, consumer acceptance of the association is increasing, and the association aims not only to build consumer confidence but also to increase the market share of the home building business. Currently, member companies hold about 25% of the market share, valued at approximately 12.5 billion baht. In 2020, it is expected that the market share can increase by 5% due to various factors, including the growing number of home building members in the region and efforts to boost awareness while building consumer confidence in the association.
