The project "I'm Chinatown", a Modern Chinese style mixed-use development with an investment of over 3 billion baht, is the largest in the Yaowarat area. It occupies the last available plot in Yaowarat, combining shopping centers, condominiums, and innovative hotels on a vast area of over 40,000 square meters. Recently, it announced its readiness to officially open the "I'm Chinatown" shopping center in full on January 16, 2020, showcasing its unique features with leading stores and comprehensive facilities, including the largest underground parking lot in Yaowarat that can accommodate over 300 cars. The goal is to establish it as a new landmark on Yaowarat Road and to enliven the Thai-Chinese cultural street, providing a vibrant connection for both Thai and foreign customers to experience the Chinatown area more closely and in various dimensions.

Mr. Suwan Lertpanyaroje, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the I'm Chinatown project revealed that Yaowarat is one of the most promising locations in Thailand. It not only has a rich history and culture but also a unique lifestyle and is a business hub that has been dubbed the Dragon Road of Thailand. This has led to high demand in terms of housing, commerce, and as a destination for tourists and businesspeople who wish to reside in the area. Additionally, traveling to Yaowarat has become more convenient with the opening of the Blue Line extension from Hua Lamphong to Bang Khae, which serves as a new gateway for people to access Yaowarat easily and conveniently. All these factors support the expectation that the "I'm Chinatown" shopping center will receive a warm welcome from both Thai and foreign customers and become a new landmark in Yaowarat in the near future.

Mr. Kritsada Kaveeyan, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the I'm Chinatown project stated that the launch of the "I'm Chinatown" project, under the concept of a modern and largest mixed-use real estate development in Yaowarat, reflects our intention to develop land in Yaowarat for the benefit of the community and to create added economic value for the entire Yaowarat area. We have developed the project on over 40,000 square meters from an unused old cinema. We studied and understood the community in this area and its surroundings before starting the project, ensuring that our establishment meets the needs without causing inconvenience to the community.

The "I'm Chinatown" project is the first and only comprehensive mixed-use project in the Yaowarat area that not only features a shopping center but also integrates hotels and condominiums that cater to workers and residents in the community. It aims to serve target customers of all ages. Currently, our shopping center serves over 8,000-10,000 visitors daily, and it is expected that when the project is fully operational, it will attract more than 20,000 visitors per day.

The "I'm Chinatown" project consists of 4 parts

  • Accommodation Hotel in collaboration with the "ASAI" hotel from the Dusit Thani group, operating from the 4th to the 8th floors of the shopping center. We are confident that the average occupancy rate will exceed 90% throughout the year. The hotel is designed to provide guests with a unique historical experience of Yaowarat, creating a local feel and offering services that promote relaxation and health with organic produce sourced from the hotel's own organic garden. It is expected to open in the second quarter of 2020.
  • Residences - A fully furnished 8-story condominium named I'm Chinatown Residence, developed to meet the needs of those looking for accommodation in the area, such as business owners and entrepreneurs. It has been completed and sold out 100%, and we are currently in the process of handing over the units to customers.
  • Shopping Center - We have leading stores covering 4 floors with a wide range of products and services. This includes popular modern restaurants, famous eateries, and street food that showcase the charm of Yaowarat, making it a meeting point for tourists. The stores in our shopping center address two key aspects: first, introducing brands that have never been seen in Yaowarat before to provide new options for the community, and second, creating opportunities for local shops to operate within the center to expand their business.
  • Parking Building - We offer a large 6-story underground parking facility that can accommodate up to 300 cars, operating 24 hours a day, making it the most modern and secure parking facility in Yaowarat.

The I'm Chinatown shopping center is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and the company has successfully leased out 100% of the space.

On the B1 floor, there are convenience stores and service shops such as 7-Eleven, Kerry Express, pharmacies, CleanMate, Kamu, Nara Gem, B’me by Wacoal, Beauty Maker, Vision and Café, and the famous King Kong buffet-style Yakiniku and King Kong Sweets, a popular dessert shop from Japan. Additionally, there is Gourmet Thai, the first standalone shop outside the Mall Group's properties, offering quality products from various Gourmet Market branches to cater specifically to foreign tourists.

The G and 2nd floors feature a variety of restaurants, including family-style dining such as MK Suki, KFC, Yayoi, Hachiban Ramen, and Tum Mua, as well as lifestyle restaurants like Munchy Bar and Restaurant, Ryo Shi Sushi Bar, and New York 5th Ave. Deli, the first premium American-style sandwich shop in Bangkok. There are also leading dessert beverage shops such as Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Dairy Queen, Swensen, Jamba Juice, bubble tea from CoCo, Olino Crepe & Tea, Stickhouse ice cream, and Yi Fang, the number one fruit tea shop from Taiwan, which is the largest branch in Thailand. Additionally, there is a food court featuring famous street food from across Bangkok, along with lifestyle brand stores like Wacoal, Top Charoen Optical, Beauty Station, and Daiso.

The 3rd floor will consist of health and beauty service shops such as Together Clinic, The Sense Beauty Center, Jetts Fitness, the first full-service fitness center in Yaowarat open 24 hours, and Let’s Relax Spa, the first and largest premium spa in Yaowarat, which will operate from 10:00 AM to midnight.

Although it is a new shopping center in this community, the I'm Chinatown shopping center emphasizes being an integral part of the community, adhering to the preservation of the traditional Chinese cultural values in its design, and focusing on creating new experiences that fulfill and meet the lifestyle needs of people in this area, as well as those who are captivated by the charm of Yaowarat. With the project located on Charoen Krung Road, just 50 meters from the MRT Wat Mangkon station, "I'm Chinatown" serves as a gateway to the heart of Yaowarat, ready to welcome all visitors.
