Jin Wellbeing County is the first new concept city for retirees in Thailand, advancing to become an Asian-Level Wellness Mixed-Use project with the launch of the “Jin Wellness Institute” and “Thonburi Burana Hospital”, a comprehensive health rehabilitation hospital for retirees and their families within the Jin Wellbeing County project. It showcases expertise in health care under the concept of “Total Wellness Solutions”, offering health care and lifestyle services for retirees and pre-retirees by creating balance for the “Body, Mind, and Spirit” (Body / Soul / Spirit). This aims to be a crucial part of driving a vibrant Active Aging Society in Thailand's near future, with accessible premium services designed to meet individual needs from waking up to going to bed, set to open for residents and the public in February 2019.
Dr. Boon Vanasin, Chairman of Thonburi Healthcare Group Public Company Limited (THG), stated, “After launching the Jin Wellbeing County project, a new concept city for retirees last year and opening sales for the Active Living residential section, which will be ready for occupancy in December, we have received positive feedback from a diverse range of customers interested in preparing for retirement life, including those already retired, those preparing for retirement, and even young families with members in retirement age. This reflects confidence in the project and the health care system, which has been a strength of the Thonburi Healthcare Group for over 40 years, ensuring that they can provide quality life and vibrant living for their retired family members within the project.”
“Because the core of the Jin Wellbeing County project is ‘having good health and a good life’ (Wellbeing), the launch of the ‘Jin Wellness Institute’ and ‘Thonburi Burana Hospital’, an integrated health rehabilitation hospital located within the project today, serves as a significant milestone in announcing the strength and readiness of Jin Wellbeing County in every aspect to become the first perfect ‘New Concept City for Retirees’ in Thailand, ready to step into becoming an Asian-Level Wellness Mixed-Use project under the concept of ‘Total Wellness Solutions’, aiming to present an integrated healthcare system that develops innovative health service models that not only focus on medical treatment but also encompass all aspects of life through outstanding health care and lifestyle services, fostering a bond between service recipients and providers (Human Touch). This is designed to meet individual needs (Personalized Medicine) by integrating modern medicine with wisdom and technology to manage and create balance in the body, mind, and spirit (Body / Soul / Spirit), covering both health management and disease management as part of life from waking up to going to bed, surrounded by a warm and friendly atmosphere that encourages positive interactions among residents and service users, stimulating the mind, slowing down deterioration, and creating a sense of warmth and companionship. We believe that creating balance for the body, mind, and spirit is essential for good health and quality of life, aligning with the mission of Jin Wellbeing County to develop today’s retirees into a vital driving force for Thailand’s future Active Aging Society effectively.”
“Additionally, for the health care and lifestyle system of the project to be perfect, we need a team of doctors and specialists to design and create service details. We are honored to have Dr. Kobkan Chunhasawadikul, or Dr. Aom, one of Thailand’s leading alternative medicine specialists, as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Group, and Ms. Waranya Seubsuk, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Operations, who has over 20 years of experience in health care service management. Both will oversee the system design and management of Wellness, which is the core of our retirement city, to perfection,” Dr. Boon added.
The Jin Wellness Institute (Jin Wellness Institute) is located in Jin Wellbeing County on Phaholyothin Road outbound, consisting of two 5-story buildings with a usable area of approximately 5,685 square meters and 8,058 square meters, divided into five sections: 1) Integrative Wellness Clinic and Medical Spa - a health clinic offering pre-residency health checks, genetic decoding for health planning, treatment for various diseases, holistic therapies, consultations, and massage therapy. 2) Jin MediFit - a fitness center supervised by doctors, physical therapists, and sports scientists, equipped with facilities and exercise equipment suitable for physical limitations, including yoga, breathing exercises, Zumba classes, Qigong, Tai Chi, and hydrotherapy classes. 3) Life Enrichment - a center for mental and emotional balance with activities such as meditation. 4) Learning Activities using arts and crafts to treat the elderly, such as art therapy, music therapy, and cooking classes. 5) Nutrition Therapy - with dietitians advising the elderly on healthy eating choices and providing personalized meal plans to balance their health.
Meanwhile, Thonburi Burana Hospital is a 54-bed rehabilitation hospital and care center for elderly individuals needing special care, featuring patient rooms, general disease treatment clinics, and consultations from doctors, pharmacists, physical therapists, professional dietitians, nutritionists, and psychologists, which will also be completed in February 2019, further enhancing the image of Jin Wellbeing County in terms of residential and health care systems, with regional potential.
Additionally, the Jin Wellbeing County project has designed technology for the elderly for health care and safety, which is another highlight of the project. It includes a smart wristband (Tracking System) that can locate the wearer to enhance confidence in caring for elderly individuals who may be forgetful or lost, along with a fall detection system that alerts the control center for quick assistance. Each room will also have an Emergency Call system connected to the hospital for timely help, and the Jin Application will facilitate daily life for residents, such as suggesting health-appropriate meal plans, scheduling doctor appointments, booking lifestyle activity classes, and calling project transport services. Both technologies will connect data for all residents, with a health and lifestyle database analysis system recorded from the start of residency in the project to plan personalized care by the project’s doctors. For instance, if an elderly person has chronic illnesses or food allergies, suitable meal recommendations will be provided for each meal. Each room in the Active Living section will have a data collection system installed, communicating information across various electronic devices such as wristbands, mobile phones, blood pressure monitors, and scales.
Ms. Thitaree Yuwitthaya, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Marketing for Jin Wellbeing County, revealed, “We are confident that this new concept city for retirees will soon become a key mechanism in driving a quality elderly society. The Active Living residential section, a 7-story building in clusters 1 and 2 with a total of 494 units, will be completed in December this year. Meanwhile, the Jin Wellness Institute and Thonburi Burana Hospital will be completed in February 2019, further enhancing the health city’s image. The project has also advanced as part of its mission by establishing the Grand Age Management by Jin Academy, the first course aimed at developing individuals for a vibrant elderly society, covering aspects of medicine, nutrition, investment, technology, arts and culture, entertainment, and travel, with a lineup of esteemed speakers from various fields, including Dr. Chek Thanasil, Dr. Kobkan Chunhasawadikul, Coach Becky Russell, and many other experts, to share knowledge with those aged 55 and above from September to December, which has received an overwhelming response. All of these reflect the project’s readiness and commitment to effectively drive a quality elderly society in the future.”
