The Signature of Living: Reflecting the Inspiration of Living at the 'TIF Expo 2018' - A World-Class Furniture Exhibition You Can't Miss
The atmosphere of living is a part of creating happiness, relaxation, and inspiration for people. Interior design has become an integral part of life and is increasingly important.
Furniture is one aspect of design that reflects the ideas and inspirations of each era. It creates a work of art that is ever-evolving, catering to the diverse tastes of people who continue to seek uniqueness, while also reflecting the identity of the residents, showcasing that this is my world.

This year, the trend in interior design will reflect the blending of various materials together, without the need to decorate a home with the same material. The joy of living will come from the combination of diverse materials such as wood, metal, stainless steel, marble, or velvet, through sophisticated design that showcases a harmonious diversity.
Another interesting trend is the showroom concept, or decorating to showcase furniture and decorative items as if in a chic showroom, bringing freshness to life without monotony. It can be adjusted and moved as needed, fitting the urban lifestyle. This is a highly sought-after interior design approach, especially with the shrinking size of living spaces, or perhaps referring to a second home like a condo near the subway. Limited space is a significant challenge for the new generation living in the city. Design approaches that emphasize functionality with a modern appearance, adaptable for multiple uses, including Minimalist design, continue to be popular. For larger homes, where space is not a constraint, this year, the trend of large furniture pieces is making a comeback, which may have previously been seen as outdated. However, large furniture can regain interest with its luxurious and grand appeal, especially antique-style furniture that creates a classic atmosphere with deep emotions.

This is just a glimpse of the interior design trends happening this year. For those looking for furniture or interior decoration ideas that meet all their needs, an exciting event is coming up for furniture and interior design enthusiasts. That is the “Thailand International Furniture Expo 2018” or “TIF Expo 2018” (Thailand International Furniture Expo 2018: TIF Expo 2018), organized by the Furniture Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (TFIC), taking place from March 7-11 at Challenger 2, Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani. Under the concept of “The Signature of Living”, it caters to the diverse needs of residents, as choosing furniture and interior decoration is a great reflection of the residents' identity. The goal is to create a lasting impression on visitors, reflecting the image of the place.
This event gathers over 100 leading designers, entrepreneurs, and furniture manufacturers showcasing products to demonstrate the potential of being the center of furniture production in ASEAN, inspiring design and interior decoration across more than 20,000 square meters. Furniture lovers, including designers, architects, business owners, or anyone interested, can enjoy a wealth of premium quality products that meet export standards, catering to the demands of the new generation. The event consists of four main zones:

In this zone, you will find unique designs from leading Thai designers, such as the "BANGKOK TAXI" furniture set designed by "EVERYDAY Studio", showcased at the Bangkok Objects exhibition, part of Bangkok Design Week 2018, inspired by the vibrant colors of Bangkok's taxis.
- Young Designer Showcase: A showcase of works from students of over 10 universities to support the talents of the new generation and the development of the furniture industry, which still relies on design ideas to create differentiation and enhance competitiveness.
