Mr. Songkran Issara, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Charn Issara Development Public Company Limited, along with his family and Mr. Thammanoon Kowitthaya from Pithanpanit Company Limited, also with their families, participated in the ceremony to donate rice to 300 low-income families in Hat Yai in celebration of the Chinese New Year. This event has been held continuously for the 43rd time in the year 2018. Dr. Phai Patthano, the Mayor of Hat Yai, presided over the event, which was attended by officials from the Hat Yai Municipality at the Hat Yai Municipal Auditorium in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. The rice donation during the Chinese New Year festival was initiated during the time of Mr. Wichian Kowitthaya, the former mayor of Hat Yai, who was a close friend of Mr. Charn Issara, a prominent figure in Hat Yai. He wanted to give back to the community and the people of Hat Yai after his business flourished, and thus they have been donating rice together every year, continuing this tradition to the next generations.
