Real Estate Academic Seminar - ASA REAL ESTATE FORUM 2018
The Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King (ASA) is an organization for architects and those interested in architecture in Thailand. Founded in 1934, its purpose is to promote the architectural profession, establish good professional standards according to ethical principles, and facilitate knowledge exchange among members and related professionals.
On the occasion of its 84th anniversary, ASA, in collaboration with Ultimate Property Corporation Limited (UPC), is organizing a major seminar titled "ASA Real Estate Forum 2018" under the theme "Adjusting Homes, Enhancing Cities: Redefined Habitat" on February 9, 2018, at the World Ballroom of Centara Grand at CentralWorld. This event aims to provide an integrated platform for exchanging ideas and coordinating academic networks among experts related to the real estate business, to elevate the knowledge of architects, engineers, and real estate operators in Thailand to international standards.

The association also has a policy to develop architects with comprehensive knowledge in all dimensions, both academically and ethically, to ensure they represent the public and are responsible to society, prioritizing the common good. This is the reason for organizing this seminar to enhance architects' knowledge to become a "Hybrid Architect" or "Well-rounded Architect". Currently, Thailand is part of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), which allows for the free movement of goods, services, investments, and skilled labor among member countries. Architects are one of the first seven professions with mutual recognition agreements (MRAs) that allow them to work freely across borders. Therefore, we must develop ourselves to elevate professional standards and prepare for competition with foreign architects who are entering Thailand alongside investors in the real estate business. Additionally, this comprehensive approach to enhancing architects' capabilities also increases professional opportunities for our personnel to work in other countries.
The ASA Real Estate Forum and ASA Real Estate Awards 2018 represent a significant step for the association to achieve its objectives for the benefit of architects, professionals related to architecture, real estate, and the general public. During this event, the association has invited speakers and experts to share knowledge in various fields for professional benefits and to create a network of personnel in related academic and professional fields. The association hopes to collaboratively explore the development of Thai real estate for the benefit of residents, society, and the environment.
