Bangkok - Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, the first gypsum manufacturer in Thailand and the producer of high-quality gypsum innovations under the "Gyproc" brand, has announced its operational success in 2017, solidifying its position as a leader in the Thai construction market in terms of innovation and sustainability. Throughout the past year, the company received nominations and won numerous national awards from various agencies, reaffirming its achievements in executing its strategic plans and Gyproc's commitment to providing solutions for sustainable residential building construction, focusing on developing products with minimal environmental impact from production to usage, and creating a business network to support the construction demand of various countries in the ASEAN region.

In 2018, Gyproc will celebrate its 50th anniversary by announcing a new strategic plan to expand its business network and fully penetrate the ASEAN market, covering Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and the Philippines. The brand's marketing activities will focus on building strong collaborations with business partners both domestically and internationally, while providing support through distribution channels for Gyproc products that are rich in business potential.

Mr. Richard Juchery, Managing Director of Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited stated, "I would like to thank all Gyproc employees and partners for their hard work in achieving success with us throughout 2017. Our three most important goals for 2018 are: 1) To be a leader in innovation on the path of sustainability by introducing new product innovations along with installation systems that focus on sustainable living within buildings, which will also meet the needs of architects, designers, installers, and residents. 2) To offer 'Multi-Comfort' solutions to promote 'well-being' in a good environment, whether it be solutions addressing sound efficiency, health, safety, or energy savings. 3) Customer satisfaction as a core mission We will continue to focus on providing high-quality products and superior services to business partners and consumers. In 2018, we launched the "Gyproc Installer Club" to develop the skills of professional installers and plasterers and promote sustainable growth in the construction industry, along with offering numerous benefits for members.

In addition to expanding the distribution network nationwide, Gyproc is also looking for opportunities to penetrate international markets, using Thailand as a base to distribute products to neighboring countries. To strengthen its business in 2018, Gyproc will focus on building partnerships both domestically and internationally to develop new construction innovations and launch more products and solutions, as well as participate in and support the work of partner networks to strengthen relationships and cooperation with partners in both domestic and international markets.

"The Thai real estate market is expected to grow well in 2018 due to the country's economic expansion, especially with the government's construction projects showing a strong growth trend, as evidenced by the investment in developing infrastructure projects, both current and new. The overall construction of the private sector in Thailand is still gradually growing this year, but business competition will significantly increase. We are confident that we can handle this growth as we have built collaborations and coordinated with many partners, and we also have a good understanding of the technologies related to gypsum products, striving to offer products that comprehensively meet consumer needs," Mr. Richard concluded.

In 2017, Gyproc successfully introduced innovative solutions that challenge the traditional concepts of products, proving that gypsum can be used in wet areas or support weight from objects as well as brick walls. This includes the installation of shelves, curtain rods, or even large TV mounts by showcasing the latest construction innovation under the concept "Inside-Out Space" at Architect'60 by hanging a sofa weighing about 85 kg on a gypsum wall to demonstrate the strength and durability of Gyproc Habito, a new series of prefabricated wall systems from Gyproc. Additionally, seminars were held to educate about new gypsum board innovations for use in wet areas with the concept "Who says gypsum walls can't be waterproof?" (World Why Wet) to provide architects with a comprehensive understanding of Gyproc's products and solutions for wet areas, such as Gyproc Glasroc H OCEAN, which has properties that prevent moisture absorption and penetration and resist mold without the need for waterproofing systems.

Besides educating target groups, Gyproc also applies sustainability standards in all aspects of its business operations and has received numerous awards, such as the 2017 Asia Pacific and Thailand's Best Employer Award from the Top Employers Institute in Singapore, the Green Industry Level 4 Award – Green Culture from the Ministry of Industry, and the Outstanding Model Workplace Award for Occupational Health and Safety from the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare, as well as the Outstanding Workplace Award for Promoting Workforce Skill Development from the Department of Skill Development.

At the beginning of 2018, Gyproc will send the winner of the "Gyproc National Trophy Thailand 2017" project competition to represent Thailand in a competition with 45 countries worldwide at the 11th Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy on March 23, 2018, in Lisbon, Portugal, to demonstrate that Thailand's construction creativity skills are outstanding and recognized in the international decoration industry.
