          Bangkok, January 15, 2018 - Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC), an international real estate development company, hosted its annual seminar on sustainable well-being for the first time in Asia at Royal Paragon Hall.

          The seminar focused on the connection between humans and the environment for well-being, with experts encouraging the business sector to prioritize well-being and a good environment in their operations and planning. They shared experiences from their respective fields, including architecture, design, consumer expertise, geriatrics, and public health.

          MQDC aims to inspire a shift in business practices amidst global challenges, said Mr. Rach Tantanantha, Executive Chairman of DTG Corporation, the parent company of MQDC.

“MQDC is committed to creating a better world, focusing on two main issues: the well-being of humans and sustainable environments. These two core values are central to our principle of 'innovation for sustainability,' which is our working philosophy,” Mr. Rach stated.

          “The purpose of this annual seminar is to inspire and encourage the public to cultivate a new culture that prioritizes well-being and sustainability as core values in both personal and professional life.           The seminar garnered significant interest, with over a thousand seats booked online, approximately half of which were businesspeople and one-third academics, with the remainder being media and the general public.

          Mr. Wisit Malaisirirat, CEO of MQDC, stated that the enthusiastic response to this seminar reflects society's recognition that what is needed now is to reorder priorities, placing well-being and sustainability at the forefront.

With the latest ideas in architecture, Mr. Toby Blunt, Senior Partner and Deputy Head of the renowned UK studio Foster and Partners, as a global architect, discussed master plan designs that promote well-being and sustainability simultaneously.

          Mr. Bill Kohn, Managing Director and Founder of ITEC Entertainment, shared his experiences in designing and constructing themed amusement parks that prioritize environmental development to enhance health in project design and development.

          Associate Professor Dr. Sing Intarachuto, a faculty member at the Faculty of Architecture, Kasetsart University, and Head of the Research and Innovation Center for Sustainability (RISC) of MQDC, discussed how sustainable development can take root and become part of society.

          Dr. William Richman from Baycrest Center for Aging in Canada presented on how to develop environments beneficial for elderly care, addressing the growing concern over the aging population.

          Professor John D. Spengler, an environmental health expert from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, shared insights on sustainable well-being metrics and how to incorporate these issues into business decision-making.
