Areeya Joins 'Remembering in Memory' to Honor the Benevolence of King Rama IX, Donates Funds for the Construction of the Navaminthra 84th Anniversary Building at Siriraj Foundation
Areeya Property, a leading real estate company in Thailand, has contributed 260,000 baht towards the construction of the Navaminthra 84th Anniversary Building at Siriraj Foundation for underprivileged patients, replacing the deteriorating old buildings and purchasing medical equipment. The funds raised, after deducting expenses, came from an exhibition featuring images of King Rama IX and the sale of commemorative t-shirts titled 'Remembering in Memory.'

After receiving significant public interest, the exhibition was held again last October, allowing those interested to capture images of His Majesty for their memories, available for free download. Additionally, limited edition black round-neck t-shirts titled 'Remembering in Memory' were sold at 250 baht each, with proceeds after expenses going towards the construction of the Navaminthra 84th Anniversary Building at Siriraj Foundation, the last building of Siriraj Hospital named by King Rama IX, totaling a donation of 260,000 baht for underprivileged patients and to replace the old, deteriorating buildings, as well as to purchase medical equipment.
“Continuing the commitment to social responsibility as emphasized by Mr. Wiwat Laohapoonrangsri, Executive Director of Areeya Property Public Company Limited, this occasion is another source of pride for Areeya as a representative of the community, delivering donations collected from the cooperation of the public to fund the construction of the building for underprivileged patients, as a royal merit and in remembrance of the benevolence of King Rama IX. We are also committed to doing good, conducting business with morality and ethics, while continuing the royal aspirations as exemplified by His Majesty,” Ms. Thitiporn concluded.
Additionally, Professor Emeritus Dr. Phisit Jirawong, Deputy Managing Director of Siriraj Foundation, who received the donation, expressed his feelings, saying, “I am honored and pleased to receive support in donations from both the public and private sectors continuously. As is well known, Siriraj Hospital is a state hospital supported by the government, which is used for staff salaries, general patient care costs, and medication expenses, among others. The income from special patient care and some profits from Siriraj Hospital Piyamaharajkarun is also included, along with donations made in the name of Siriraj Foundation, which has been established for over 60 years to support the operations of the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Most of the funds are for medical treatment costs and medical equipment, as currently, more than 3 million patients come for treatment, making it a key factor in expanding the construction of the Navaminthra 84th Anniversary Building at Siriraj Foundation to accommodate underprivileged patients and to allocate medical tools further.”
