Bangkok <\/strong>December 4, 2017 <\/strong> Crystal Lagoons aims to develop the first public access clear water lagoon in Europe, located in Spain in a Mediterranean area less than 30 kilometers from Madrid. This will be the only public access clear water lagoon and the largest lagoon in Europe.
Alobera Beach will be open year-round, with an expected annual visitor count of over 250,000, which will help revitalize tourism in the area. The project includes a 15.63-acre turquoise lagoon surrounded by a 9.38-acre white sandy beach, which will be the main attraction. The lagoon will be open to the public, with tickets sold at the entrance.
This public access lagoon will truly revolutionize the concept of leisure by developing modern recreational spaces and public areas that meet higher standards. Crystal Lagoons is working on developing this type of lagoon in various locations, including parks, bringing holiday destinations right to people's doorsteps. Alobera Beach will be developed by Crystal Lagoons in collaboration with Grupo Constructor Rayet, with an investment of 15.6 million euros (approximately 600 million baht) during the construction phase, creating over 330 direct and indirect job opportunities. Additionally, the project will feature various sports facilities such as volleyball courts, children's areas, a water park with slides, sailing schools, kayaking, paddle surfing, restaurants, shops, and more, similar to other Crystal Lagoons projects, and Alobera Beach will be no exception. This project will utilize new technology that uses 30 times less water than golf courses and an ultrasonic filtration technology that is 50 times more energy-efficient than conventional filtration systems.
A few months later, after announcing the public access lagoon business, this innovative multinational company signed contracts to develop 8 more projects (4 in South Korea, 1 in the USA, 1 in Turkey, and 1 in Spain), in addition to another 35 projects currently in negotiation.
