Sansiri Showcases Successful Sales of The Line Sathorn Worth 4 Billion Baht, Selling 327 Units on First Day of Online Booking
Sansiri Public Company Limited has showcased its successful sales of The Line Sathorn, a project valued at 4 billion baht, after the first day of online booking saw the immediate sale of 327 units at an average price of 270,000 baht per square meter. This rapid sale is attributed to the project's unique selling points under the concept of "SIMPLICITY IN EVERYTHING," located in the city center right next to Surasak BTS station. The project offers a wealth of smart living innovations and smart design, with each unit featuring a single-loaded corridor that ensures high privacy, spacious balconies, and unobstructed views. This has propelled pre-sale sales to reach 31 billion baht, nearly 80% of the new pre-sale target of 40 billion baht. Meanwhile, the company reported a total revenue of 23,129 million baht over the past nine months, accounting for nearly 70% of the total revenue target of 34 billion baht. Other income, including project management fees from collaboration with BTS, increased by 47% compared to the same period last year, while net profit stood at 2,022 million baht, up 15%.
Mr. Wanchak Buranasiri, Chief Financial Officer of Sansiri Public Company Limited (SIRI), revealed that the company has successfully sold 327 units of The Line Sathorn, valued at 4 billion baht, marking it as the latest condominium project under the collaboration between BTS and Sansiri. The online booking opened at a starting price of 7.9 million baht, averaging 270,000 baht per square meter, with a customer demographic of 70% Thai and 30% foreign buyers, generating 1.3 billion baht in foreign sales. This is the 12th condominium project under the collaboration between BTS and Sansiri, achieving rapid success.
“The success of The Line Sathorn project, under the concept of "SIMPLICITY IN EVERYTHING," stems from its prime location and project concept, situated right next to Surasak BTS station. It offers smart living innovations and smart design, with each unit providing maximum privacy through spacious balconies that do not obstruct views from the 46-story building. This has led to the rapid closure of sales, resulting in Sansiri's latest pre-sale figures reaching approximately 31 billion baht, nearly 80% of the new pre-sale target of 40 billion baht,” he stated.
On November 13, 2017, the company reported its nine-month performance, with total revenue exceeding 23,129 million baht, an increase from the same period last year, accounting for nearly 70% of the total revenue target of 34 billion baht. Other income, or income from project management fees under the collaboration between Sansiri and BTS, increased by 47% compared to the previous nine months. The company recorded a net profit of 2,022 million baht, up 15% from the same period last year. In the final quarter, the company is set to recognize revenue from the transfer of The Monument Sanam Pao project, with 86 units valued at 1.6 billion baht starting transfers from October, aiming for an 80% transfer rate, totaling over 1.3 billion baht by the end of 2017.
For the third quarter of 2017, the company reported total revenue of over 7,344 million baht, an increase from 6,784 million baht in the same period last year, with a net profit of 705 million baht, up from 602 million baht in the same period last year. This positive growth is attributed to the ongoing economic recovery, resulting in strong sales across both horizontal and vertical projects, including successful sales in Bangkok and provinces, such as The Valley Khaoyai project valued at over 1.1 billion baht, designed beautifully close to nature in a serene location ideal for relaxation. Additionally, the D Condo Rayong project, comprising 575 units, has attracted interest from Thai customers for both personal residence and investment purposes, leading to the successful sale of the project valued at over 830 million baht.
“In the final quarter of this year, the company is preparing to launch new projects, including a new brand of horizontal projects, "Anasiri Ayutthaya," marking its first venture into the Ayutthaya area, a new residential location with potential near industrial estates. This will be Sansiri's first horizontal project offering a complete range of townhouses, duplexes, and single houses in one project, with pre-sales scheduled for November 24-25. Furthermore, the company plans to build on the success of the "Kanasiri" brand with the launch of the "Kanasiri Rama 2 - Ring Road" project, comprising 293 units valued at 1.5 billion baht, located along Rama 2 Road, with pre-sales set for November 25, following the brand's sales exceeding 1 billion baht this year.
Recently, the company has also unveiled a robust business plan aimed at shaking up the Thai real estate industry in 2017, announcing an investment plan of 80 million dollars, or 2.8 billion baht, in six leading global brands, reflecting a global vision for future living. This marks a significant expansion of investment in other businesses to create partnerships across diverse sectors, with all six businesses showing high growth rates in the global market, which will serve as a new source of income for Sansiri outside Thailand, accelerating the asset-light business model strategy in the digital revolution era to create opportunities for collaboration and rapid growth.
The increased value of the company from these six investments will positively impact Sansiri's core business. This investment aligns with Sansiri's vision to prioritize future living, encompassing lifestyle, work, leisure, and learning through new technologies and media. The businesses that Sansiri is investing in include Standard International, the most powerful brand in the boutique hotel industry, which is transforming the high-end hotel sector; One Night, an app revolutionizing same-day hotel booking; Hostmaker, the leading property management company from London; Airbnb; JustCo, the largest creative co-working space provider in Southeast Asia; Farmshelf, an innovative smart farm for growing fresh, clean vegetables in residences; and Monocle, a globally influential media brand covering print, online, radio, film, retail, and service businesses.
Sansiri is a leader in the real estate business in Thailand, established in 1984, and is the only comprehensive real estate developer in the country with project sales exceeding 40 billion baht per year. It also has a strong reputation internationally, particularly in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan, with foreign sales targets set at 9 billion baht for 2017.
