For the selection of projects for the awards at The International Design & Architecture Awards 2017, the process began with the submission of project names from design firms worldwide. The committee then selects the most outstanding projects in each category and opens the final voting to the public. The project with the highest votes is declared the winner. This year set a new record for participation, with over 61,000 votes from around the world.

The International Design & Architecture Awards 2017 was held for the third time as a global design competition featuring over 200 design firms from around the world. The aim is to provide opportunities for those involved in the design industry to showcase their work and gain widespread recognition at an international level. This year, there were 279 projects from 163 companies across 30 countries competing in 50 categories across 6 sectors, including Residential Property, Interior Design, Product Design, and Project Value, among others.
