Felicity Asset Co., Ltd. is a leading real estate development company in the eastern region, investing 2.5 billion baht to partner with the global hotel chain InterContinental Hotels Group from the UK to launch the premium hotel Holiday Inn & Suites Rayong City Centre, the first model in Thailand offering long-term rental services to support businesses in the eastern industrial estates. Ms. Patmaporn Nokhong, Managing Director of Felicity Asset Co., Ltd., the developer of the Holiday Inn & Suites Rayong City Centre, revealed that "The family business originally started as a shopping mall named Laemthong Shopping Center Rayong, which has been operating in Rayong for over 20 years. Six years ago, my father, Somkuan Nokhong, allocated the business to the family members, and I began managing the shopping center alone, rebranding and renaming it to Passione Shopping Destination to clarify the business management and make it easier for foreigners to remember. When combined with the shopping center, the total area is 23 rai 3 ngan 21 square wah. Our goal is to develop this area into a new landmark in the eastern region, targeting primarily foreign business travelers from countries such as Germany, Japan, Korea, and China, as well as Thai businesspeople traveling to work in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate, and in Rayong province, with a target market share of 50% foreign and 50% Thai. We aim for an occupancy rate of 65% after the official launch and expect to grow to 80% within 5 years, with projected revenue in 2018 from both the hotel and shopping center reaching 1.2 billion baht."

Ms. Patmaporn further stated, "I am confident that the hotel and accommodation business in the eastern region will continue to grow, as the government supports and stimulates tourism, which is a major source of income for the country. Additionally, there is the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) project in the three coastal provinces of Rayong, Chonburi, and Chachoengsao. In the next three years, we plan to focus on investing in the hotel business in this area and expand into office rental buildings to support the economic growth in the eastern region, with an estimated investment budget of 3 billion baht."
