Mr. Veerathai Santiprabhob (3rd from the right), Governor of the Bank of Thailand, visited the Kasikorn Bank booth showcasing the K PLUS SHOP application, the first app for merchants in Thailand. He was welcomed by Mr. Somkid Jiranantrath (3rd from the left), Vice President of Kasikorn Business-Technology Group, and Ms. Suphanewan Jutrakul (2nd from the right), Assistant Managing Director of Kasikorn Bank, who demonstrated the use of mobile QR code payment technology. Over 2,000 merchants have already adopted this technology, with a target of 200,000 merchants by the end of this year, during the press conference on the collaboration to use QR Code standards for payments at the Bank of Thailand recently.
