The Prime Minister is amazed by Thai small entrepreneurs, Smart SMEs, who have unexpectedly swept the PM AWARD 2017. More than half are confident that the government's policies are on the right track, supporting the private sector to use creativity and innovation to drive trade. This also reinforces confidence in Thai products and services in the global market and positively impacts confidence in Thailand as a hub for global trade and investment. The Ministry of Commerce is preparing to lead a campaign to launch in foreign markets.

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha  revealed after presiding over the award ceremony for the “Outstanding Exporter Award 2017” (Prime Minister’s Export Award 2017: PM Award 2017), organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, that the government prioritizes the development of Thai entrepreneurs in international business to enhance Thailand's competitiveness in the global trade arena sustainably. In recent years, the government has focused on creating added value and innovation for Thai products and services “according to the Thailand 4.0 policy” to support the export business in driving the country’s economy sustainably. This year’s award ceremony reflects the commitment of both the government and the Thai private sector, as the recipients have used creativity and differentiation to present Thai products and services to the global market.
