Ocean Property follows the government's mega project trend, launching the 'Ocean Residence Mittraphap - Khon Kaen' low-rise condominium targeting the middle to lower market segment, with a project value of 350 million baht. The momentum from the mega project has positively impacted the housing demand.

Dr. Teerachai Pipithsuphol, Managing Director of Ocean Property Co., Ltd. revealed that the real estate market in provincial areas is showing positive trends, especially in major cities like Khon Kaen. This is driven by the government's investment in mega projects aimed at urban development, including infrastructure improvements in transportation both by land and air, such as the Khon Kaen City Bus, dual-track railway, the Jira-Khon Kaen road junction, and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) line from Sarakham to Thapra, which will be Thailand's first light rail system.

Additionally, the expansion of Khon Kaen Airport to elevate it to international status, along with the development of the education system and the goal of making it a hub for medical and healthcare services, are factors contributing to the increasing demand for housing in Khon Kaen.

Therefore, the company has launched its first project in Khon Kaen under the name “Ocean Residence Mittraphap - Khon Kaen”, with a project value of 350 million baht. It will be developed as an 8-story low-rise condominium with 223 units on a land area of 2 rai and 23 square wah, featuring one-bedroom units with usable areas ranging from 23.5 to 34.5 square meters, starting at a selling price of 1.09 million baht. The project will include comprehensive common facilities that cater to modern lifestyles, such as an Infinity Edge Pool, fitness center, co-working space, and parking. It will also feature a lush Japanese-style Sunken Zen Garden and a security system that meets standards, including CCTV, access card systems, and 24-hour security personnel.

“The benefits from the government's infrastructure development plan in Khon Kaen have led to a growing demand for housing. With the project's convenient location near Khon Kaen University, the new Rajaphruek Hospital, Khon Kaen Airport, and Central Plaza Khon Kaen and in the future, close to the light rail station (expected to open by the end of 2019), the target customer base mainly consists of students, university staff, and medical personnel. We anticipate a positive response to the project. Construction is set to begin in the third quarter of 2017, with completion expected around the fourth quarter of 2018,” Dr. Teerachai concluded.
