Siam Piwat Moves Forward to Build a Sustainable Future Through NEXTOPIA with the “Biodiversity Week” Event from May 18-24, 2026 at NEXTOPIA, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon
Siam Piwat Group is a leading real estate and retail business developer, owner, and operator of Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, and one of the partners of Icon Siam, ICS, and Siam Premium Outlet in Bangkok. The company continues to drive its sustainability mission through NEXTOPIA, a model city for the future located on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon, a space that gathers ideas on the environment, innovation, and participation from all sectors under the concept of Co-creating communities for a better world to collaboratively create a better future for people and the planet sustainably.
On the occasion of the International Day for Biodiversity, the event “NEXTOPIA Biodiversity Week: Wild Wonders & Local Harvest” will take place from May 18-24, 2026, at the 5th and 5A floors of Siam Paragon. This event aims to raise awareness about “biodiversity,” one of the most critical issues in today's world, as nature, ecosystems, food, health, and human quality of life are all interdependent and mutually supportive in every dimension. Amid global environmental challenges, many leading organizations are beginning to prioritize nature restoration, ecosystem conservation, and balancing the economy, society, and the environment. Therefore, NEXTOPIA has chosen biodiversity as the main theme of this festival to transform a distant issue into an experience that everyone can access and participate in through activities, exhibitions, discussion panels, workshops, and creative food throughout the week, featuring six highlighted activities:

There will also be three important discussion panels: The Global Vision, The Collaboration: Local Roots & Heart of the Forest, and The BlueFrontier.
Additionally, there will be a workshop: “Crafting for the Planet” from May 22-24, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing participants to learn about ecosystems through art, crafts, and science, instilling the idea that “changing the world starts with our own hands.”

On May 23, attendees can listen to stories about the exhibited photographs, as Jitthiwat Pornprasert, the photographer, will join the discussion.

2. Superfood Festival
Connecting health, people, and Thai farmers through the power of future foods from May 18-24.
NEXTOPIA, in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural Promotion and the Thailand Gastronomy Network, is organizing the “Superfood Festival,” gathering health ingredient producers, farmers, and quality restaurants to promote the idea of consumption that benefits both the body and the planet.
The event will feature Superfood products from across the country, including “honey” and bee products, in celebration of World Bee Day, reflecting the crucial role of bees in the ecosystem and global food security. A portion of the proceeds from the event will also be returned to farmers and producer communities to sustainably support the grassroots economy.

3. Zero Hour: CFNT Board Game Night
When Climate Strategy is not just in the boardroom on May 18.
One of the most creative activities of the festival is “Zero Hour: CFNT Board Game Night” from the Climate Finance Network Thailand (CFNT), which will transform Climate Strategy into a fun, easy-to-understand, and thought-provoking experience through the board game “Climate Conquest” from the Thai studio P24. The event will take place on May 18 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, providing a space for CFNT network members and interested individuals to simulate global climate scenarios through strategic decision-making regarding carbon reduction, economic growth, stakeholder expectations, and the challenges between short-term costs and long-term survival.
4. ECOTOPIA Biodiversity Week
Transforming ocean waste into inspiration for protecting marine life from May 18-31.
ECOTOPIA is celebrating World Turtle Day on May 23 with a special event inviting everyone to recognize the impact of ocean waste on ecosystems and endangered marine animals. Participants will receive a “marine animal keychain” from Precious Plastic, a special design made from recycled materials from the ocean, conveying the idea of transforming waste into value when shopping for 1,000 baht at ECOTOPIA (limited quantity).
Crafting that connects people, the environment, and opportunities on May 30-31.
Join a workshop to crochet bear keychains from macramé rope and recycled plastic bottle caps with V CRAFT, a brand dedicated to creating income and opportunities for visually impaired individuals through handcrafted work made with care at every step. This activity invites everyone to learn how to transform leftover materials into small valuable items while experiencing craftsmanship alongside visually impaired peers, creating unique works in their own style when shopping for 500 baht at ECOTOPIA or bringing 5 plastic bottle caps to exchange for participation in the workshop (limited quantity).
5. Discover the Taste of Better Living
Enjoy Superfood dishes for good health and a sustainable world.
Throughout the festival, visitors will be able to taste special dishes created from Superfood ingredients by restaurants within NEXTOPIA, such as CityFresh, Conte de Tulear, Dean & Deluca, FIKKA, Gelateria Kitokki, Hopsy Story, Kyo Roll En, and Sanprapas. Each dish is designed to reflect the concept of “Food for Wellness, Food for the Planet,” linking the health of people with the health of the planet through the use of quality ingredients from nature, vegetables, fruits, grains, and local ingredients that benefit both consumers and the environment.
6. No Bee, No Life
Experience the world of bees through a native bee botanical garden in the heart of Bangkok from today until May 31.
Throughout May, the NEXTOPIA area on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon will be transformed into a “native bee botanical garden” to invite people to understand the role of “bees,” which are not only honey producers but also vital in creating and maintaining the biodiversity of our planet.
“No Bee, No Life” is an exhibition organized by Somdul Bee Sanctuary, the first native bee botanical garden in Thailand, aiming to create a space for the conservation of various bee species while providing opportunities for people to learn and participate in protecting nature's diversity, starting with a deep understanding of “bees.”
The exhibition is designed for visitors to learn through all five senses: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching the world of various bee species found in Thailand, along with a display of real wild bees and various types of beehives reflecting the wonders of “nature's architecture” and the complex relationships between living beings and ecosystems. Visitors can explore the “No Bee, No Life” exhibition from today until May 31 at NEXTOPIA, 5th floor, Siam Paragon.
NEXTOPIA: A Space that Transforms “Awareness” into “Collective Power to Create the Future”
“NEXTOPIA Biodiversity Week: Wild Wonders & Local Harvest” is not just an environmental festival but a collaborative space that allows everyone to discover that “caring for the planet” can start from daily life through food, learning, design, art, consumption choices, and small actions that together create a massive force. Because a sustainable future cannot be achieved by any one organization but through the collaboration of all.
We invite you to be part of this significant ripple effect to restore nature, create a new balance for the world, and collaboratively design a better future during the NEXTOPIA Biodiversity Week from May 18-24, 2026, at NEXTOPIA, 5th and 5A floors of Siam Paragon. Participation in the event is free of charge throughout the festival.
