The Asset World Foundation for Charity (AWFC) was established by Asset World Corporation Public Company Limited (AWC), a leading real estate development group that aims to meet Thailand's comprehensive lifestyle needs, in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and a network of partners in the central business district of Bangkok (CBD). They organize the charity half marathon event in the city, “CBD WE RUN 2026” under the project “GIVE GREEN CBD,” one of the annual City Run events that runners have been looking forward to for 12 consecutive years.

This year's event is themed “Creative Running, Caring for Bangkok,” attracting over 3,000 runners from across the country to showcase their energy and invigorate the CBD area, reflecting the commitment of the ‘Empire’ building as a WELL Platinum and FITWEL Level 2 certified building. The core of this event is to integrate sustainable health-promoting activities for both building users and community members, including runners from various countries who have participated continuously over the past 12 years.

The opening ceremony was honored by Mr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok, as the chief guest, along with Mr. Michael Harit, Head of the Commercial Asset World Corporation Group (AWC), and key partner networks in the CBD, including Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, C.E.S. Company Limited, KPMG Thailand, Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Jardine Schindler (Thailand) Limited, Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Krung Thai Asset Management Public Company Limited, Bualuang Securities Public Company Limited, Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited, Everest Consultancy Co., Ltd., Future Visual System Co., Ltd., BJC Big C Group, Okura Nikko Hotel Management Co., Ltd., VGI Global Media Public Company Limited, Focus Media (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and over 50 other partners, reflecting strong collaboration between the public sector, private sector, and community to drive Bangkok towards being a livable and sustainable city for everyone.

CBD WE RUN 2026 is one of the main activities under the GIVE GREEN CBD project, a collaborative initiative that all sectors have been continuously and long-term working on to promote a city conducive to good health, connect people, and foster environmental responsibility. The GIVE GREEN CBD project also conveys sustainability values through other activities, including the charity market AWC’s Charity Market Around and the display of an eco-friendly Christmas tree themed The Magical Green Christmas. All activities align with AWC's sustainability framework, the 3BETTERs: Better People, Better Planet, and Better Prosperity, aimed at supporting the quality of life for community members, promoting environmental awareness, and creating balanced economic and social value growth under the mission of Building Better Future For All.

This year's competition features three categories: the half marathon at a distance of 21 kilometers, the mini marathon at a distance of 10 kilometers, and the fun run at a distance of 5 kilometers. Hosting the event in the heart of the CBD transforms the business area into a public space, allowing runners to experience the beauty of Bangkok from new perspectives.
The concept of “Creative Running, Caring for Bangkok” is conveyed through various special activities that support creativity and collective expression, including the ‘EA’ Rooftop Sunrise Yoga, a morning yoga session on the rooftop at Nobu Bangkok on the 57th floor, and the popular Costume Run activity that adds color and joyful energy, clearly reflecting the diversity of people and lifestyles in Bangkok.

Additionally, to connect Bangkok with contemporary global culture, the Costume Run competition also comes with special prizes, including tickets to the world-renowned music festival held in Thailand for the first time, Tomorrowland Thailand 2026, in the form of a 3-Day Full Madness Pass, which will enhance Bangkok's image as a destination for sustainable lifestyle and tourism.
All proceeds from the CBD WE RUN 2026 event will be contributed to the “Sharing Happiness” project under the Asset World Foundation for Charity to support the promotion of good health and enhance the urban community environment. Over the past 12 years, the CBD WE RUN event has generated collective energy from over 20,000 participants to support 57 schools and 27 hospitals, reinforcing the commitment to being a platform that connects all sectors to collaboratively create a sustainable future for Bangkok continuously.
