Kasikorn Bank (KBank) supports SC Asset with a funding of over 2.5 billion baht to advance warehouse development to accommodate the growth of the logistics sector, manufacturing, and new industries, with a total area of over 180,000 square meters. SC aims for more than 20% of its total profits to come from recurring income businesses by the year 2572.

Ms. Kattiya Indaravijaya, CEO of Kasikorn Bank, revealed that KBank is focused on supporting the development of new economic infrastructure with the potential to drive the country forward, especially in the growth of e-commerce, cross-border trade, and the expansion of industries that require efficient storage and distribution systems to meet customer demands.

Recently, the bank provided a loan to SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited, a leading real estate developer in Thailand, amounting to over 2.5 billion baht to drive the development of warehouses covering a total area of over 180,000 square meters. These warehouses will not only be located in strategic areas conducive to business expansion, such as Bangna-Trad, Laem Chabang, and Amata Chonburi, but will also be designed with various innovations to meet diverse business needs, while also focusing on sustainable development for the environment, communities, and people. This will drive the warehouses to become an essential and efficient mechanism, creating a comprehensive and sustainable supply chain ecosystem.

Ms. Kattiya further stated that KBank recognizes that warehouses are not just storage spaces but are the heart of the new economy. The collaboration between SC Asset and KBank is not merely a financial partnership but a joint effort to strengthen both capital, innovation, and networks of partners, as well as to create strategic ideas that organizations or countries can use to drive future economic growth, focusing on creating new sources of income or developing new high-potential industries (New Growth Engine) for the country in the long term.

Mr. Natthapong Kunakornwong, CEO of SC Asset Corporation, stated that SC Asset's growth strategy in the current volatile situation is to have diverse engines of growth, with Engine 2 being real estate that generates recurring income, which is in a growing industry. We aim for over 20% of net profit within the next five years to come from Engine 2, including offices, hotels, and warehouses for rent under SCX Corporation.

“Currently, warehouses for rent are in the logistics industry, which continues to grow. By the end of Q1 2025, the total rental demand is 7.8 million square meters, with a rental rate of up to 90%, growing at an average of 7% per year over the past decade. We have a roadmap to invest in developing warehouses totaling 700,000 square meters by 2029, while creating value for tenants with high-quality warehouses that meet diverse customer needs and are conveniently located for transportation.

Thank you to KBank for believing in this vision and supporting the development of warehouses totaling 180,000 square meters in four key locations. This collaboration not only drives SC Asset's growth in the logistics business but also reinforces our strong relationship and KBank's role as an important financial partner,” Mr. Natthapong said.

In the past, Kasikorn Bank and SC Asset have had a long-standing partnership for over 20 years, with KBank providing pre-finance support totaling over 19.5 billion baht for the development of real estate projects for sale, projects that generate regular income, and funding to support business operations, along with post-finance support for customers of real estate projects for sale, including financial solutions that meet diverse needs. This ongoing and stable collaboration is a crucial foundation that enables a strong transition into the warehouse business.
