LPP, a property management company overseeing more than 270 projects, is proactively implementing a systematic flood management plan while coordinating with various agencies to monitor water conditions in real-time. This is aimed at preventing and mitigating potential impacts, ensuring that residents across all projects receive close and safe care throughout the late rainy season, particularly from October 9 to 18, as Thailand faces continuous rainfall and high sea levels in Bangkok and its vicinity.

Mr. Surawut Sukjareonsin, CEO of LPP Property Management Co., Ltd., stated that LPP is prepared to handle the risks associated with flooding and heavy rainfall through comprehensive monitoring and readiness measures. This enables quick and effective management of the situation. A special task force has been established to monitor water conditions since early September to coordinate with all relevant parties, including the central engineering team, building management, and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Due to forecasts from the Meteorological Department indicating that from October 9 to 18, there will be high sea levels along with water discharge from the Chao Phraya Dam at a rate of 2,500 cubic meters per second, which may slow down drainage in inner Bangkok, special vigilance is required during this period. Therefore, LPP has intensified its monitoring and measures.

Key measures include assessing flood risks for each project by monitoring water levels and reporting daily risk status to the EOC to develop localized response plans, checking the readiness of drainage systems and flood barriers at all risk points, clearing drains, and improving systems for optimal water drainage. Additionally, emergency operation plans are being rehearsed to ensure that involved teams can respond promptly. LPP has also established a special support team to serve as a central command for managing the situation, defining communication strategies and emergency response plans in collaboration with all stakeholders.

Mr. Surawut stated, “LPP prioritizes the safety and comfort of residents above all. We not only care for our projects but also consider the impact on surrounding communities. Therefore, we have elevated our preparedness to handle rainfall and flooding, focusing on efficient water management systems, emergency response plans, and communication both internally and externally, so that all projects and nearby communities can respond quickly and confidently. Every resident can thus live safely and securely.”

In addition to internal measures, LPP is collaborating with local agencies and district offices to exchange water level data and monitor the situation in real-time. Plans for joint water drainage in case of heavy rainfall are also being prepared, along with establishing coordination points to provide assistance to projects and surrounding communities swiftly. According to the Meteorological Department, Thailand will enter the winter season by the end of October, which will help alleviate the water situation gradually. Nevertheless, LPP will continue its monitoring and water management measures until weather conditions and water levels return to normal, ensuring that all projects and families can live confidently.

“LPP is committed to delivering the best care and services so that all residents feel confident and safe under our management,” Mr. Surawut concluded.
