Jorakay Corporation Co., Ltd. continues to assert its position as a leader in comprehensive construction innovation that cares for people and the environment. Recently, the company celebrated a significant achievement with its project “JORAKAY Green Earth,” which involves planting and maintaining mangrove forests to convert them into carbon credits, winning the prestigious “Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2025” in the “Green Leadership” category. This esteemed award reflects Jorakay's role as a leader in the construction industry, committed to sustainable policies that are measurable and recognized internationally, reinforcing the potential of a Thai organization on the global stage.

The prestigious awards are organized by Enterprise Asia, a non-profit organization aimed at promoting and developing the potential of entrepreneurs across the Asian region. The awards in this category honor organizations and businesses in Asia that implement outstanding sustainability projects and demonstrate social and environmental responsibility.

Jorakay initiated the JORAKAY Green Earth project in 2024, which is a long-term initiative to plant 62.5 rai of mangrove forests in Palian District, Trang Province, and will maintain the forest for a continuous period of 10 years in collaboration with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, the Thailand Mangrove Alliance, and local communities. Jorakay began planting seedlings in June 2024. Beyond environmental aspects, this project also contributes to a green economy that focuses on balanced development of the economy, society, and environmental conservation. More than 77% of the total budget in the first year is allocated to local labor to enhance community income alongside nature conservation. In 2025, the project will systematically continue towards “tangible carbon credits” by assessing and evaluating the mangrove forest, preparing project proposal documents, and undergoing external verification, with the aim of registering T-VER in the next steps. Once registered, the company will receive actual greenhouse gas sequestration, which will become carbon credits to offset greenhouse gas emissions in business operations. It is expected that the carbon credits from the T-VER project will offset more than 1,200 tons of CO2 equivalent over the 10 years.

Mr. Vorapoj Tangmanaswong, Assistant Managing Director of Marketing at Jorakay Corporation Co., Ltd., commented on receiving the Asia sustainability award, stating, “This prestigious award in the Green Leadership category from a major international platform is a testament to Jorakay's commitment to conducting business with consideration for social upliftment and environmental care in all dimensions. We are extremely proud that the Jorakay Green Earth project has been recognized as a model project that puts sustainability policies into real action and measurable results in the long term. This award is another achievement on our long journey, as we did not initiate this project merely as a CSR activity; we are making long-term investments to create a sustainable ecosystem that will be a crucial foundation for driving the organization towards Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero by 2065, while serving as a model for the Thai private sector to see that taking action, investing for sustainability can create tangible value for both business and society.”

Throughout its 33 years of business, Jorakay has elevated the construction industry with comprehensive, effective, safe, and environmentally friendly innovations under the concept of “Innovation for Your Family's Happiness.” In this 33rd year, the company continues to move forward strongly under the vision “Build Today, Beyond Tomorrow,” accelerating the development of new solutions that are responsive, safe, and sustainable.

Jorakay believes in the power of business to change the world for the better, and winning the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards in the Green Leadership category reflects the organization's image that not only talks about sustainability but also takes real action to create long-term value for society, the environment, and all stakeholders sustainably.
