Home Builder Association Reports Q2 Sales Growth, Plans Major Marketing Events to Stimulate Q3 Market
The Home Builder Association (HBA) has indicated that the overall sales for the second quarter (April – May) of 2025 have turned positive due to demand in the market from consumers with savings ready to build homes. Concerns about rising construction costs due to economic fluctuations have prompted plans for major events this year aimed at building confidence and reinforcing credibility in construction standards, hoping to boost sales in the third quarter.
Mr. Anantakorn Amornwatee, President of the Home Builder Association (HBA), revealed that the overall market for home building in the second quarter of 2025 (April – May) saw member companies of the association achieve good growth compared to the first quarter of this year. This growth is primarily driven by a significant demand in the market from consumers who are financially prepared to build homes and are increasingly confident in using the services of HBA member companies, which focus on communication to build awareness and trust in their comprehensive services, standardized construction systems, and quality management systems. Additionally, consumers receive advice from architects and engineers across all platforms, including websites, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, which has instilled confidence in those planning to build homes, even amidst current economic volatility.
Moreover, the positive response has also stemmed from bookings made during the home building event FOCUS 2025, held in March this year, particularly for homes priced between 2.5 to 10 million baht, leading to a continuous improvement in sales. This has significantly contributed to the growth in sales during the two months (April – May) of the second quarter.
“There are still many consumers in the market who wish to build homes and have savings ready for their family housing projects. However, concerns about the uncertain economic situation both domestically and internationally have led to negative sales in the first quarter. In the second quarter, consumers ready to build homes have begun to feel more confident due to the marketing strategies and communications from the association. At the same time, consumers perceive this as a great opportunity or golden chance to build now, as they can do so at current prices before potential increases due to fluctuating material and labor costs. This has led many consumers to decide to build homes after delaying their decisions since the beginning of the year,” Mr. Anantakorn stated.
Nevertheless, amidst these challenges, Mr. Anantakorn anticipates that the success of growing sales in the second quarter will send positive signals into the third quarter, which is the peak season for the home building business. Member companies are committed to adjusting their strategies by clearly presenting their unique selling points, including home designs, quality, and appropriate pricing for each segment, along with promotional activities aimed at raising brand awareness and attracting consumers interested in building homes to participate in the association's major annual event scheduled for September.
“The second and third quarters of this year are considered a golden opportunity for consumers to build homes and represent the peak season for the market. The association has planned comprehensive promotional and marketing activities to stimulate purchasing power while instilling confidence in those planning to build homes that they will receive the best services from member home builders,” Mr. Anantakorn concluded.
