Home Builder Association Establishes Task Force to Provide Free Assistance and Consultation for Homes Affected by Earthquake
Mr. Anantakorn Amornwatee, President of the Home Builder Association (HBA), revealed that in light of the recent earthquake, the association, which was established to support the home building industry and assist society and consumers, is acutely aware of the disaster's impact on the residential properties of the public. This distress is something that cannot be overlooked. With concern for those affected, the association has formed a task force comprised of experts with over 20 years of experience in home construction to provide assistance to the general public for homes in the Bangkok area and its vicinity that were impacted by this event.
The task force, as specialists, can offer advice to the public who wish to consult or seek special assistance. They can send messages via Facebook Messenger to the page: Home Builder Association from April 1 to April 30, 2025.

As a preliminary guideline, consumers are advised to inspect for cracks in their homes, particularly in reinforced concrete structures, after the earthquake.
1. If there are small cracks in brick walls resembling fine lines but not affecting the main structure of the house, monitor the situation. If no further cracking occurs, the risk is considered low.
2. If there are cracks in brick walls that are more than 1 millimeter deep or expose the brick material inside but do not affect the main structure, the risk is moderate, and it is advisable to notify an engineer for inspection.

3. If cracks affect the main structure of the house, such as columns, beams, floors, or roof separations, regardless of the type of crack, the risk is high, and an engineer should be notified for immediate inspection.
The association is committed to leveraging its expertise in home construction to assist the public by establishing a task force to provide information regarding homes affected by this earthquake, so that we can overcome these challenging times together.
