Dusit Thani Group has announced a business collaboration agreement with VillaCarte Group, a real estate development company in Phuket that manages a diverse range of assets including villas, apartments, hotels, bars, and restaurants. They will jointly manage two luxury hotel and apartment brands located in the heart of the Layan Verde project on the west coast of Phuket, which is a highly anticipated project by VillaCarte Group.

Mr. Siradet Thonwanit, Vice President of Hotel Business Development at Dusit Thani Public Company Limited, stated that this collaboration between Dusit Thani Group and VillaCarte Group represents a significant opportunity to redefine luxury living on the island of Phuket. With its prime location in Layan Verde, along with Dusit Thani Group's commitment to sustainable design and over 75 years of experience in the service industry, this project is poised to create a world-class real estate option that effectively meets the needs of local residents, travelers, and investors. Additionally, this project will strengthen Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket and drive the group’s commitment to creating the best experiences for Phuket.

The Layan Verde project spans over 108,000 square meters and is located just 800 meters from Bang Tao Beach, an area where Dusit Thani has extensive management expertise, being home to the renowned Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket resort, which has been in operation for over 30 years. The Layan Verde project will consist of 15 mid-rise buildings, expertly designed by the renowned architect Mohammed Adi, who is the Chief Design Officer of Dewan Architects + Engineers, a global design consultancy, aiming to harmoniously integrate the project with Phuket's natural environment.

The Dusit Collection – Layan Verde, managed by Dusit Thani Group, will comprise five buildings with a total of 398 rooms, making it the first hotel to be signed under the “Dusit Collection,” which is Dusit Thani Group's luxury brand. The aim is to elevate it as a distinctive destination with compelling stories, beautiful architecture, and decor that harmoniously blends with local identity, creating a unique and authentic travel experience for visitors from around the world.

Additionally, Dusit Thani Group will co-manage another five buildings comprising 388 rooms under the Dusit Residences – Layan Verde project. The ‘Dusit Residences’ brand has been developed from Dusit Thani Group's extensive experience in managing luxury hotels and resorts in key destinations worldwide, offering luxury services to residents in the brand's upscale condominiums and apartments.

In addition to the warm Thai hospitality that is a hallmark of the Dusit Thani brand, guests and residents at both the Dusit Collection and Dusit Residences in the Layan Verde project will have access to various amenities designed to enhance relaxation and lifestyle, including all-day dining restaurants, fitness centers, swimming pools, kids' clubs, rooftop bars, and spacious event areas.

The Layan Verde project is scheduled to open in 2027 and will mark a new landmark in the region's beautiful landscape. Besides housing hotels and residences, the project will also feature a shopping center and an ocean club.

To align with the Biophilic Architecture design philosophy, the interiors of the hotel and residences will utilize environmentally friendly and moisture-resistant materials, as well as premium quality furniture. The Layan Verde project has achieved the highest level of green building certification from EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies), utilizing technologies that can reduce water and electricity consumption by up to 45%.

Currently, Dusit Thani Group operates a total of 301 hotels and resorts in leading destinations across 18 countries worldwide, including 57 properties operating under Dusit Hotels and Resorts and 244 luxury villas under the Elite Havens brand, a leading luxury villa rental service in Asia, which Dusit Thani Group acquired in September 2018. The group currently has over 60 properties in the development pipeline.
