Metthier Adjusts Revenue Target for 2024 to Grow 30% from Previous 15%, Expanding Customer Base in Eastern and Northern Regions Targeting Factories and Hospitals
Metthier has announced an adjustment to its revenue target for this year to over 1.8 billion baht, projecting a growth of more than 30% from the previously estimated 15%. This change comes as the company continues to secure new clients in the industrial and hospital sectors, while also expanding its customer base into new areas. Recently, Metthier opened branch offices in Chonburi and Chiang Mai to deliver superior services through technology, responding to the demand for Smart Facility Management in industrial estates and targeted business sectors in the eastern and northern regions.
Mr. Kayan Tantichatiwat, CEO of Metthier Co., Ltd. (Metthier), which operates a comprehensive Smart Facility Management service, revealed that the overall facility management business in Thailand is expected to grow by approximately 8-10% this year due to the recovery of the business sector post-COVID-19. However, most service providers in the market still focus on traditional security and cleaning services, while the demand for Smart Facility Management continues to rise, leading to rapid growth for Metthier. Consequently, the company has revised its revenue target for 2024 from 1.5 billion baht, which was expected to grow by 15% from 1.3 billion baht in 2023, to 1.8 billion baht, reflecting a growth of over 30%. This adjustment follows the company's aggressive marketing efforts since its official launch late last year, which have received positive feedback from clients.
“The year 2024 will be the first year that Metthier will recognize full-year revenue, with expectations of growth of no less than 30% from last year's total revenue (from the existing customer base of SAMCO) due to the benefits from the continuous expansion of industries in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), particularly in the S-Curve industries, EV automotive sector, and hospitals. Additionally, Metthier has expanded its services to the northern region to support the recovery of the industrial and tourism sectors, leading to the continuous development of new projects, which in turn contributes to the overall growth of the Facility Management business,” Mr. Kayan stated.
For this year's operational plan, the company is preparing to hire additional security and cleaning personnel, increasing from 6,000 to 10,000 to support business growth. The focus will be on transitioning from traditional security and cleaning services to those that integrate technology to enhance safety and improve the quality of life for clients, including over 300 leading private sector organizations across various business groups and new clients. Furthermore, the company has opened two additional branch offices in Chonburi and Chiang Mai earlier this month to expand services to factories in industrial estates and targeted clients in the eastern and northern regions, in addition to its headquarters in Bangkok.
Mr. Kayan also mentioned that although competition in the Facility Management business is high, providers that incorporate advanced technology to enhance employee performance are still limited. Meanwhile, the market's demand for technology to improve efficiency and reduce costs is steadily increasing, which is a strength for Metthier. In addition to the over 6,000 security and cleaning personnel, who are a core part of the service, the company also enhances service efficiency with various technologies, including Intelligent Operations Center (MIOC), AI CCTV, Digital Twin, 3D Visualization, Digital Mapping, Smart Robotics, and the MettLink platform that connects security and cleaning personnel in real-time, making Metthier the first major player in the most advanced Smart Facility Management sector in Thailand, which has also been certified with the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) standard, recognized internationally for its processes in work development and standards for improving software quality and efficiency.
The overall property management market in Thailand is valued at nearly ten billion baht and continues to grow, particularly in the real estate sector and other industries such as office buildings, industrial factories, hospitals, and health centers. However, the challenge of labor shortages remains a significant issue in this business. Given the growth rate, competition in property management is becoming increasingly intense, especially regarding the application of technology to enhance service delivery and improve operational efficiency. We can expect to see more advancements and applications of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) in various forms to meet the demand for sustainable management and improve the living conditions of people.
