IKEA Invests in Price Reductions with the 'Better Value at Lower Prices' Campaign
IKEA Thailand is reinforcing its mission to create quality products at accessible prices with the campaign ‘Better Value at Lower Prices’. The company has announced an average price reduction of 25% on home decor items, along with an average discount of 20% on food and beverage menus, aiming to ease the burden on consumers amidst challenging economic conditions. This initiative supports everyone in starting a better life at home without the need for high expenses.
A study report titled What Worries Thailand by Ipsos reveals that 50% of Thais view the current Thai economy as critical, with concerns about the cost of living. It is predicted that prices of goods and services will rise further in 2024. This survey reflects the trend of 'Loud Budgeting' that has gained traction on social media in recent months, where consumers proudly express their choice to live frugally.
Leonie Hoskin, Retail Business Manager for IKEA Thailand and Vietnam, stated, “In this era of economic stagnation, IKEA believes that the ability to purchase quality products can go hand in hand with affordable prices accessible to everyone. The ‘Better Value at Lower Prices’ campaign stems from IKEA's intention to deliver quality products at reasonable prices, allowing consumers with diverse lifestyles to create a comfortable home and enhance their quality of life every day without worrying about budget constraints.”
