CP Land Public Company Limited is ramping up efforts to promote 'KICE' or the Khonkaen International Convention & Exhibition Center as the leading MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) destination in Northeastern Thailand by 2023. The company is aligning its activities with government policies aimed at boosting tourism across all regions, while enhancing its role as an economic hub in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), which includes Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and southern China.

Mr. Kirati Sattasook, CEO of CP Land, stated that CP Land aims to develop its real estate business sustainably, targeting revenue growth to reach 5 billion baht by 2025. This year, CP Land's strategy focuses on advancing KICE to fully showcase its capabilities in all dimensions, including expanding its role as a MICE organizer for both B2B and B2C events across various industries.

KICE can accommodate over 20,000 visitors and has received international certifications such as ISO 9001 for quality management, TMVS for Thailand's event venues, and AMVS for ASEAN event venues. With its quality services, physical attributes, and geographical advantages as the center of Northeastern Thailand and the GMS region, which has a combined population of approximately 300 million people and covers about 2.3 million square kilometers—similar to Western Europe—KICE is well-positioned to connect South Asia, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. Additionally, government policies supporting tourism and the expansion of MICE events in the region further bolster our confidence that KICE will undoubtedly become a leader in the MICE industry in Northeastern Thailand and the GMS region,” Mr. Kirati added.

Mr. Vichanon Vichaiyut, Director of the Khonkaen International Convention & Exhibition Center (KICE), mentioned that in the first half of 2023, KICE successfully established itself as a leader in entertainment and concert organization in Northeastern Thailand, hosting events like the 'CP LAND presents Paint the Town Concert' featuring renowned artists from Thailand and abroad, the first regional concert by the Korean boy band WayV, and the popular youth concert 'LEO presents CAT EXPO Khonkaen', along with a concert by global artist Mark Tuan.

For the second half of the year, KICE announced its success as the organizer of the 'Beyond Food Expo 2023', a trade show for food services from GMS countries, which took place from September 7-9 and attracted over 8,500 attendees, generating more than 500 million baht in revenue. Upcoming events include the 'Mootelu Expo 2023' from October 27-29, showcasing beliefs, charms, and rituals for enhancing life, work, love, health, and fortune, making it the most comprehensive event of its kind in Northeastern Thailand. Additionally, KICE plans to end the year with various entertainment activities, including major concerts, fan meetings, and a countdown event to celebrate the New Year.

All these activities are not solely aimed at generating profits for the company; they also have the important goal of driving tourism in the region, creating tourism activities in line with government policies, and supporting job creation and livelihoods for local residents in Khonkaen and surrounding areas. KICE serves as a key mechanism for driving the regional economy.
