Sky Group Closes Major Deal to Acquire SAMCO, a Leading Security Company, Boosting Technology and Security Services Business

Sky Group has made waves in the industry by announcing its acquisition of SAMCO, a leading security company in Thailand. This merger aims to create synergy by combining the expertise of both companies to strengthen their business and enhance their comprehensive building management and smart security technology services. The move is part of Sky Group's roadmap to expand its customer base in the private sector and foster long-term growth.

Mr. Sitthidet Mailap, CEO of Sky ICT Public Company Limited (Sky Group), stated that the acquisition of Siam Security and Administrative Services Co., Ltd. (SAMCO) aligns with the company's strategy to broaden its customer base in the facility management and smart security sectors. SAMCO is a highly capable company with over 400 leading private sector clients, including Siam Commercial Bank, Central Plaza shopping centers, and the Stock Exchange of Thailand. SAMCO provides comprehensive services in security, administrative tasks, and building maintenance, which aligns with Sky Group's growth direction.

Founded over 30 years ago, Siam Security and Administrative Services Co., Ltd. (SAMCO) specializes in security services, administrative tasks, and building maintenance, employing over 6,000 personnel and certified under ISO 9001:2015 standards. The company has provided services to large national organizations across various sectors, including major shopping centers, office buildings, and property owners such as factories, energy providers, and financial institutions.

In the first quarter of 2023 (January-March), Sky Group reported total revenue of 820 million baht, a 75% increase year-on-year, with a net profit of 83 million baht. This growth is attributed to the recovery of the aviation and tourism industries in Thailand, leading to an increase in foreign tourist arrivals, which in turn boosted revenue from airport-related projects. As of the end of the first quarter of 2023, the company had a backlog of approximately 22.9 billion baht and plans to restructure and launch subsidiaries to expand its business for long-term stability.
