SC Plans to Issue New Bonds with 3-Year and 4-Year Terms Through Kasikorn Bank, CIMB Thai, and Thai Military Bank to Support Growth in 2023, Confident in Meeting This Year's Performance Targets
SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited (“SC”) is preparing to issue two new bond series with terms of 3 years and 4 years for institutional and/or major investors, expected to be offered between July 13-14 and July 17, 2023. The company's credit rating and the bonds from Tris Rating are rated at "BBB+", which is an investment grade, ensuring a positive response from investors.
Mr. Atthapol Srisathiphanawat, Chief Corporate Support Officer, revealed that the company has submitted a report on the bond issuance and a draft prospectus to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to issue and offer two bond series: Series 1 with a 3-year term and Series 2 with a 4-year term. These are registered bonds, non-subordinated, unsecured, with a bondholder representative, offered to institutional and/or major investors through Kasikorn Bank, CIMB Thai Bank, and Thai Military Bank. The exact interest rates will be announced later. The funds raised from the bond issuance will be used to repay maturing bonds and for working capital to support the company's business operations and expansion. The credit rating results from Tris Rating on June 9, 2023, are at "BBB+" with a "Stable" outlook, indicating the company's strong market position in the mid to high-end residential sector and continuous revenue growth.
Mr. Atthapol further stated that in the first three months of 2023, the company reported operational revenue of 4.922 billion baht, an increase of approximately 29% compared to the same period in 2022, and a net profit of 535 million baht, up 38% from the previous year. For 2023, the company aims for revenue and sales targets of 25 billion baht and 30 billion baht, respectively, with plans to launch up to 25 new projects valued at over 40 billion baht, comprising 75% horizontal projects and 25% condominiums. Additionally, two new brands will be launched: “95E1” for single-family homes priced at 100 million baht and the “COBE” condominium project catering to the lifestyle of the new generation.
In terms of new business focused on generating income from rental and services, the company opened its first hotel in March 2023 named Yanh Ratchawat with 79 rooms and an occupancy rate of 48%. There are plans to open two more hotels in 2025-2026 in Sukhumvit and Pattaya. For the rental warehouse business, the company plans to launch its first project in Nakhon Sawan in Q1 of 2024 and a second one in Samut Prakan, with plans to acquire an additional 3-4 locations in 2023, totaling over 130,000 square meters of rental space. The company expects to achieve its operational targets for 2023 and successfully expand its new business as planned.
