CIVIL has announced a positive business outlook for Q1/2566, continuing to bid for medium to large projects nationwide while expanding its portfolio to include other types of work such as irrigation systems and renewable energy businesses. The backlog has reached 10.324 billion baht, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency and accelerating project delivery as material prices decline, supporting a reasonable profit margin.

Mr. Piyadit Asawasirisuk, CEO of Civil Engineering Public Company Limited (CIVIL), a leading comprehensive construction company in Thailand, revealed that the business outlook for the first quarter of 2566 is expected to improve due to the growth of both public and private construction sectors in line with the economy, particularly in infrastructure projects. The company plans to focus on medium to large projects such as road construction and airport development, as well as expanding into new construction areas like irrigation systems and renewable energy-related businesses. This will enhance investment in related sectors to drive revenue growth, which will become clearer in 2566 and beyond, resulting in an increase in the value of projects on hand (backlog), which stood at 10.324 billion baht at the end of 2565.

“The company has fully developed its construction operational efficiency while maintaining appropriate cost management. We continue to seek growth opportunities by taking on diverse projects. Recently, we successfully delivered 13 quality projects as planned, including the construction of Highway 3901, the Western Ring Road Left Section 3, Highway 3246 at Ban Koh Pho, Highway 3701 Chonburi-Pattaya, and Trang Airport, with a total value of 3.071 billion baht. Additionally, the declining trend in material prices serves as a supportive factor. We believe our operational capabilities will certainly yield positive results,” Mr. Piyadit added.

Regarding the financial performance for Q4/2565, the company reported total revenue of 1.466 billion baht, an increase from 1.327 billion baht in the same period last year, representing a rise of 139 million baht or 10.5%. The net profit was 62.5 million baht, up from 22.5 million baht in the previous year, an increase of 40 million baht or 177.9%. For the full year of 2565, the company reported total revenue of 6.095 billion baht, an increase from 5.063 billion baht the previous year, amounting to a rise of 1.032 billion baht or 20.4%. However, the net profit was 64.5 million baht, down from 192.7 million baht the previous year due to the interpretation of the scope of construction work according to project designs in the railway sector, which involved one-time additional construction cost adjustments.
